Second time at this hotel, excellent stay here for a 4-star hotel We've returned to Lake Tahoe after almost 2 years during the MLK 3-day weekend. The dry weather worked out since January is Winter and sometimes it can be a hit and miss on the rain and snow. This hotel came at a decent enough price and since we had high remarks last time, we gave it a shot and don't regret it. We reached exactly at 3PM at Bally's Lake Tahoe. Check-in was super quick and we had a friendly lady check us in, and we got the 9th floor this time around, 902. The view was basically the view of Golden Nugget followed by Mountains and parts of a lake, with of course a lot of snow. The only differences from the last time were that there used to be a different cafe which proudly brewed Starbucks and now, that cafe is now a Starbucks, which is very convenient for mobile ordering. Coffee was overall excellent. On the other hand the Cafe De Sol restaurant we went to for breakfast was excellent on breakfast, but coffee was average. The only downside was they removed more items than it used to be last time (i.e. French toast), but waffles and pancake along with toast/scrambled eggs/fruit were of high quality, so they get credit on that. Plus wonderful and prompt customer service. Room was spacious, large and clean. Bathroom was also large and spacious and like the last time the walk-in shower did not disappoint us. When we needed extra soap or towels, they got it to us really quickly, so overall great service. Anytime in the future I return to Tahoe, Bally's will certainly be my choice.

Stay Away = DO NOT stay at Bally's Lake Tahoe Horrible experience. Dirty hallways. Leaky ceilings. Front desk won't answer calls - waited 45+ minutes. Despite going down to the front desk to ask for room cleaning and getting assurance that rooms will get cleaned, no cleaning. We had to chasing down a cleaning crew to get toilet paper and towels and leave out trash. Horrible. Stay away.

The worst hotel experience ever. Lake Tahoe is the winter especially during snowy season is beautiful. Bally’s will make your experience equally horrifying. Avoid staying here and save yourself the hassle and expense. We called front desk all night and never once did they answer the phone to bring us some extra towels and shampoo. We walked down 3 times and the front desk named Joy was not able to get ahold of anyone. The hotel is old and raggedy that we switched rooms 4 times because of the rooms smelling of cigarettes and a smell that seemed like an air conditioner leaking antifreeze. This hotel is expensive and there is no justification since there is no service and no comfort.
