The worst hotel experience ever. Lake Tahoe is the winter especially during snowy season is beautiful. Bally’s will make your experience equally horrifying. Avoid staying here and save yourself the hassle and expense. We called front desk all night and never once did they answer the phone to bring us some extra towels and shampoo. We walked down 3 times and the front desk named Joy was not able to get ahold of anyone. The hotel is old and raggedy that we switched rooms 4 times because of the rooms smelling of cigarettes and a smell that seemed like an air conditioner leaking antifreeze. This hotel is expensive and there is no justification since there is no service and no comfort.

No housekeeping, ignored requests, dismissive staff, and no fresh towels our last day. Would not return. When we checked in, we were not informed that housekeeping services needed to be requested. On the second day, we returned to our room and found that it had not been cleaned, so I called to request towels, soap, and a few extra pillows because the pillows provided were flat. After waiting 40 minutes with no delivery, I called again and was told that security would bring the items. After another 20 minutes, nothing arrived. I then went downstairs to speak with someone in person. Instead of being helped, security laughed at my complaint, and I was told that I was being rude, which was supposedly the reason the towels and pillows had not been delivered. I returned to my room, but the towels, pillows, and soap never arrived. As a result, we did not have fresh towels for the last day of our stay. Overall, this was not a comfortable experience, and I would not choose this hotel again.

Bad start Due to a health issue we needed to cancel our reservation, for which we have a deposit. First I called the 800 number - it is disconnected. Second I phoned the number in our contract: 775-586-3515. I did other things as I was placed on automatic hold for 18 minutes! A real person was contacted in Security. She transferred me. After another 8 minutes I hung up. Lastly I called the website's number: 775-298-4542. Was told it was for ONLY new reservations and to call the other number. I explained my problem and got the same response. Asked for a supervisor, was told not possible and got hung up on. I sent an email - wish me luck!
