Great wedding, unclean hotel We were planning our trip to Lake Tahoe to get married and decided on the chapel at Bally's (after seeing the pictures of the chapel and view). First impression of the hotel was how dirty the elevators were. We moved three times before they found a room with a safe, (which we thought would have been standard in a casino). With wedding rings and casino/vacation funds it was important to have a safe. We got settled and found out that the safe didn't work. (Security did call maintenance and fixed it the next day). I didn't mind the fact that the hotel was very dated but our sleeping room was not clean -- the corners, the walls in the bathroom and around the sink, under the sink cabinet (I'd made the mistake of dropping something). We'd already moved luggage 3 times, so we just decided to not look closely and stick it out. I'd seen photos of the chapel, which were lovely. Because it was Bally's, it didn't occur to me that it would not be a nice place to stay. The staff personnel were nice, including the poor bellman who kept moving our luggage. After seeing the cleanliness of our room, I was afraid to use the spa, even though I had been looking forward to a treatment. The fine dining restaurant was as good as advertised --yum! Julie who helped with the wedding arrangements was wonderful--made everything very easy for us. The chapel (spectacular view) and the adjacent bride's room were the only nice clean places we saw. The wedding went off without a hitch but we left the next day. The ceremony was great but the hotel itself was a huge disappointment.

Not good Do not book the Spa. They ripped us off. The casino host would not help us get a refund. He said he would. They advertise $150.00 massage, they gave us a 90.00 coupon then charged us another $148.00 No Restaurants or bar in the mornings. Not good service!! Not staying at Bally’s again _

Fair Decent sized casino. Staff friendliness in the cashier cage could some improving. Good location near outdoor activities. Staff at the cafe could also use some improving. Has a ways to go if they're ever going to be like the old Bally's in Las Vegas.
