Updates needed My husband and I made semi-annual trips to Bally’s (formerly Hollywood and then Eldorado) since 2000. We haven’t been back since Covid and the expansion of Choctaw Durant in Oklahoma. We decided to take the drive to visit on October 11, 2025. To our dismay, it was a sad resemblance of our amazing memories there. The decor is exactly as it was dating back to the Hollywood days in 2000. It is dated and lacks the wow factor that it used to have. One of our favorite things to do was to eat at their amazing buffet, which is now permanently closed. The buffet drew in a lot of people, which increased the number of people and excitement in the casino. Since the buffet was closed, we went up to the cinema cafe, which we used to frequent. It was also closed/not operational. It seemed like a ghost town. The elevators in the casino were not functional, which is a hardship on disabled people. The casino itself seemed dark and dingy. There are a good various machines, but with less people gambling, the payouts weren’t good. More money in, more money out. They need to invest in updates, such as carpeting, lighting in the casino, elevators in the casino, and wall coverings in common areas. Per the reviews about safety concerns, we felt safe and saw no one loitering in the parking garage or casino. We used to absolutely love eating at the Vintage, but it was not open at the time we visited. If it is still open, I hope the quality of food is as we remember it. It was amazing! For 20 years we stayed at Hollywood/Hollywood/Ballys, but based on reviews with pictures about the room conditions, we chose to stay elsewhere. Sadly, the pictures of the rooms look exactly as they did 20 years ago. We used to get really good comps there, but we did not ask for a comp since the buffet was closed, so I’m not sure if they still give comps or not . We left depressed because we have so many fond memories at this hotel/casino. They truly need to invest in upgrades and reopen the buffet. It seems its glory days are in the past.

Great stay The check-in was fast and easy. The hotel rooms are big and quiet. They asked me at the front desk if we wanted a higher floor. We stayed on the 17th floor.

Third party booking risk. Check in was a nightmare. I booked through 3rd party and they said I wasn't in their system. I sat in the lobby over an hour, checking back every 10-15 minutes. During that time 2 more people had the same problem. To give the desk credit, they did pivot when they realized it was on their end and got us a room. Just hope I didn't double pay. The rest of the stay was good. Clean room, nice staff.
