Baltimore, Maryland: World-Class Museums and Historic Waterfront Neighborhoods

Baltimore’s Inner Harbor—a busy port that was redeveloped as a tourism district in the mid-20th century—has become one of the city’s best-known and most beloved landmarks. Water taxis ferry visitors from one historic, cultural, or family-friendly attraction to another. Sites along the routes include the star-shaped Fort McHenry (where US forces repelled the British during the War of 1812, inspiring Francis Scott Key to write “The Star-Spangled Banner”) and restaurants where you can sample the city’s famous crab cakes.

You’ll find several unique museums here, too, from the National Aquarium—which houses more than 16,000 sea creatures in realistic habitats—to the wonderfully oddball American Visionary Art Museum, one of the country’s leading institutions for outsider art. For a stunning view of the skyline, the Inner Harbor, and Chesapeake Bay, head up to the 27th floor of the Baltimore World Trade Center, where you can see the city from 360 degrees at the observation deck.

Hotel staff was friendly. Restaurant onsite had a nice menu and tasty food. The hotel is within walking distance to the Inner Harbor which was fantastic. Nice size rooms. I was even able to see the fireworks from my window on the 4th of July! Would definitely return when visiting Baltimore again.

Needs attention badly!! Great location and a decent lobby. That's all I can say good about this old, outdated hotel. The room has black mold in the bathroom, old carpet and furniture. Thin mattress and rust on the bathroom light. The room was not cleaned so I checked out. As a Titanium member this hotel was not what I like in a Marriott property and will Not be back. I told the guys at the desk but I didn't see any concern on their faces as they said the hotel was going to get renovated. But the room not being cleaned? Black mold... please explain!!! Then a broken ice maker, non working coffee maker in the M lounge... Sorry, this hotel is a NO especially for the money for these rooms and health risk. Buyer beware. Marriott??? Your name is on this!!!

Great location for Camdem Yards and Inner Harbor. Great Hotel, The staff was outstanding, The check in line was a little long when we arrived but they had staff in lobby handing out ICE cold water bottles while in line that was a nice touch. The front desk staff took his time to review things with us and was able to get us into our room early. Everyone was great. The room was Fine - Great water pressure and AC worked EXTREMELY well. They also had free coffee in the lobby in the morning. Parking was easy in the deck but $39 bucks a day, that should be waved for Marriott members - Other wise great stay and we would return if we are in the area.

Fantastic Experience Thanks to Exceptional Staff! I’m writing this review because I had an amazing experience with one of the guest service staff members at the Marriott Baltimore Waterfront Minbahadur Ghimire. He was incredibly friendly and went out of his way to ensure that my stay was nothing short of perfect. His attention to detail and willingness to help with everything, from making sure the TV was working smoothly to setting up Netflix for me, made my stay feel personalized and truly exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with spacious rooms that are kept spotlessly clean. The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious dishes, catering to all tastes and dietary preferences. Every meal was fresh, and the dining experience was a highlight of my stay. The only area that could use improvement is the gym. The equipment is outdated and could definitely use an upgrade. With newer machines and more options, the gym would certainly set the hotel apart even more. Aside from that, the hotel’s location is fantastic. It’s right on the waterfront, close to many attractions, and provides easy access to everything Baltimore has to offer. Overall, my experience was great, and I highly recommend staying here! This version highlights the staff first, as requested, then provides details about the hotel and amenities, including the gym feedback.
