Great price for getting close to the White house The Staff are all so friendly and helpful. Mimi in the restaurant was especially nice and easy to talk to. She took great care of us. The room was amazing. We were on 7th floor and could see over the city to the north. I would say the room was very clean. Other than hearing doors slam, there was no noise. I would definitely stay here again. It is a little way from the main part of DC but it is walkable if needed.

Dupont Circle, Washington, DC: Historic Charm and Dynamic Nightlife

In Dupont Circle, located about 2 miles northwest of downtown, foreign embassies housed in historic mansions neighbor hole-in-the-wall bars and boutiques. During the day, crowds gather in Dupont Circle's park to watch chess players hustle on permanent stone-table boards. Here, you can see the neighborhood’s elaborate centerpiece—the two-tiered, white-marble Dupont Circle Fountain. At night, check out the bars along Connecticut Avenue, which range from Latin lounges to beer pubs and high-end clubs.

Two blocks from the fountain, The Phillips Collection showcases paintings by Renoir, van Gogh, and O'Keeffe. A quick ride on the Metro will get you near the National Mall, a tree-lined open space that stretches 2.5 miles, from the US Capitol Building, past the Smithsonian museums to the Lincoln Memorial.

Another good experience at The Beacon... I've been staying at The Beacon every summer for about ten years. While the rooms are dated in and in need of a facelift, they remain comfortable and clean. (A renovation appears to be in the works for 2026.) You can't beat the location! Jennifer at the front desk was incredibly kind and professional, allowing me to view a couple of room options before making a final decision on an upgrade. I was grateful for her help and patience!

If your life is important, don’t book this hotel! If your life is important, don’t book this hotel! We wanted to stay here for four nights but we ended up staying here only just two. On the second night I heard some noise and woke up to check what is it. Somebody tried to break into our room! I totally froze but I hit on the door and fortunately he finished trying and moved to the next door and tried to break that door also. I called the front desk and told him what happened and he said that he will check it. After that we didn’t get any update or response about this so we decided to check out because we didn’t feel safe here after that. When we went to the front desk to check out the receptionist said he checked the floor but he couldn’t find anybody and that’s it. No police, nothing… We asked him how could somebody get in the hotel without any permission or what would have happened if that guy could break into our room? And we didn’t get any answer. We showed the photo about the door to prove what happened and we told him that we would like to check out after this because the hotel can’t guarantee that we will be safe here because anyone can get in. We told him that we would like to get back the price for the remaining two nights and he said that of course just we have to wait the manager email. The manager sent an email where she expressed her regret for what had happened and that’s it. I replied the email asking when we will get our money back but after that I didn’t get any response. I wrote some email to the manager and the hotel, and sent email through booking.com but I got one answer, they will investigate this case and that’s it. After this sent some more email but nothing. They ignore us. Booking.com also sent an email them but they didn’t answer any email. I waited some days to write this review but I’m out of patience. So all in all If your life matters don’t book here. They don't care about you or your safety.
