Amazing, my happy place! Amazing, if I needed to have a week away from it all I would fly to the USA to come visit this Inn. From the wonderfully friendly host (I commented how much I liked her homemade granola and she printed me off the recipe) to the beautiful cottage room we stayed in. The room was light, spacious, a shower you could fit a family in and a private balcony. There was parking on site and you can walk to the town where there are lots of shops, bars and restaurants. This Inn is amazing value for the area xx

Hotel at a Glance: Beaufort House Inn

Beaufort House Inn stands as a proud testament to Asheville’s gilded Victorian era. Built in 1894 in an elegant Queen Anne style, this stately mansion bears original tiger‑oak moldings and hand‑crafted tile fireplaces, transforming every corner into a glimpse of a bygone era of refined workmanship. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and once home to both Theodore F. Davidson (Asheville’s former Attorney‑General and Mayor) and young actor Charlton Heston, it exudes authenticity, grace, and a deep-rooted sense of local legacy.

Walking through its gardens or reclining on the wrap‑around Victorian porch, guests experience not only comfort but also the storied charm of Asheville’s history. The casual, welcoming atmosphere combines effortlessly with modern conveniences—complimentary continental breakfast, free parking, Wi‑Fi, and innkeeper guidance—offering an exquisite yet unpretentious retreat in the heart of the Chestnut Historic District, just half a mile from downtown

Asheville, NC: Where Appalachian Heritage Meets Artistic Soul

Tucked into the scenic embrace of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Asheville, North Carolina, is a city that pulses with the pride of its Appalachian roots and the creative energy of a thriving arts scene. Once a strategic hub for railroads and trade in the early 20th century, Asheville has gracefully preserved its architectural legacy—most notably the Biltmore Estate, America’s largest privately owned home, which stands as a testament to Gilded Age grandeur. Strolling through downtown reveals a trove of Art Deco facades, historic buildings, and independent galleries, reflecting a community fiercely devoted to its cultural identity.

Nature and nurture exist in harmony here. The nearby Blue Ridge Parkway offers sweeping vistas and access to some of the region’s most stunning hiking trails and waterfalls, while the city itself brims with farm-to-table restaurants, microbreweries, and music venues that capture the spirit of local innovation. Asheville’s history as a health resort in the 19th century now feeds into its modern reputation as a wellness and outdoor recreation destination. At every turn, from mountaintop sunrise to the drum circles of Pack Square, Asheville invites exploration, reflection, and the rediscovery of American heritage at its most soulful.

I LOVED Beaufort House! I LOVED Beaufort House! I did a girls weekend with 2 friends this past weekend. First, the property is beautiful and so conveniently located. All the ladies were so welcoming and friendly and Sarah, one of the innkeepers, even scheduled some activities for us. All the other guests were so nice an we had lovely conversations over breakfast. We have already planned to make it a yearly event. Asheville is still recovering from hurricane Helene, and they could really use the business. People still think it is devastated down there, but it was beautiful and you couldn't meet nicer people. Thank you, Beaufort House! See you next year!

Cozy, romantic, and great breakfast The house is gorgeous and well kept, the rooms are both spacious and cozy, and the breakfast is legitimately excellent. Seriously the breakfast isn’t good compared to hotel fare it’s great compared to actual breakfast spots. We’ll be back

Lovely inn! My daughter and I stayed one night. The house is well maintained and beautiful! Coffee, tea, water and cookies available around the clock. Chocolate chip cookies upon arrival. Our room had a fireplace and large jetted tub. The bed was comfortable and the inn stayed quiet. Our breakfast was a very simple continental breakfast. Some of the reviews mentioned full breakfasts, so if that’s important to you, inquire. For the price we paid, we could not complain. This place is a bargain and a gem. Sarah was the best hostess! Always welcoming and smiling. She even hauled my daughter’s massive suitcase up the stairs for us with a smile. We will be back!

Charming, distinctive home close to central Asheville This is a beautiful house with lovely fixtures, cozy rooms, and pleasant grounds. The neighborhood has many other architectural gems, has a somewhat quirky vibe, and is close to downtown and a 15-minute drive to the Biltmore. Great coffee for breakfast.
