All-Inclusive Beach Resort with a Slew of Perks

Thanks to its west-coast location, Puerto Vallarta has especially dazzling sunsets, with every conceivable shade of red, yellow, and orange filling the sky as the sun dips below Banderas Bay. Bel Air Collection Resort & Spa Vallarta offers a prime spot for viewing the nightly display from Flamingos Beach. It also supplies plenty of memorable perks—including afternoon tea service and decadent petits fours—to complement the area’s striking natural attributes.

Along with doling out complimentary snacks, the all-inclusive resort serves gourmet Mexican, sushi, and international fare at three onsite restaurants. In between meals, guests can while away the hours on chairs overlooking a half-moon-shaped infinity pool that faces the ocean. The resort’s lavish spa indulges guests with body treatments and massages on a beach dotted with tiki torches. Staff members pour colorful cocktails and glasses of wine at a sports bar and an ocean-view bar. At the end of the day, retire to a standard room or deluxe studio.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico: Tropical Paradise with Cosmopolitan Flair

Puerto Vallarta is perhaps Mexico’s most sophisticated vacation destination, with expansive beaches, trendy restaurants, and cobblestone streets leading to beautifully preserved 19th-century churches. A 16-block boardwalk known as the malecón offers unobstructed ocean views as it extends from the city center, past fountains and a famous 9-foot-high statue of a boy riding a seahorse.

Called “the most gay-friendly city in Mexico” by Frommer’s, Vallarta draws a diverse crowd of vacationers intent on relaxing during the day and living it up at night, bouncing between the city’s numerous dance clubs and bouncy castles. For a glimpse of the city’s history, head to Viejo Vallarta, also known as Old Town, where artists peddle shawls and piñatas and mariachi bands serenade couples dancing on Plaza Principal.

Do not stay here. This is a shitastic hotel. Pictures are not even close to what you get. Imagine a 10ft by 10ft room with a king bed. Now picture a smaller room with same bed. That's what you'll get. Next door is like a billion times better. Also it's under construction so it's noisy as f in the morning. They failed to disclose this in the advertisement.

DO NOT BOOK THIS!! They are currently doing construction and construction starts at 6 in the morning and it is loud. Lousy to have to wake up at 6 AM while on vacation. Also, the rooms smell like mold. I went earlier this month in April. It was not very humid nor was it raining and the rooms still smelled like mold. Unfortunately after staying 1 night we had to find accommodations else where.

It's a timeshare community, which should be posted online. It's 30 minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta and across a state border, a $30 cab ride each way. The food/beverages left a lot to be desired due to a very limited selection. The pool was large with a gorgeous view but cloudy and dirty. Most of the staff was friendly but the front desk staff is not very helpful. If you are buying the Groupon, be sure to print it out because they do not accept the mobile voucher, I went around and around for 20 minutes arguing with the guy at the front desk him repeatedly telling me I need to print it out, when I'm in a foreign country with no computer or printer.
