VERY IMPORTANT - do not drive to this hotel! It took is an hour to just be able to pull into the loading area- there is only space for 2 or 3 cars, and if one of them is blocking the exit, good luck. Also, parking is $40 per day, so you have been warned! And it's self-parking, btw. Also, there are no valets or anyone to help you unload your stuff, so if you are elderly or disabled, go elsewhere. Also, the check in staff was EXTREMELY rude when I mentioned that this wasn't exactly how I was hoping to start my honeymoon (no, apologies or how can we make this right, only "we don't control the traffic") I would also recommend calling the hotel to see if the pool is open- during our entire 3 day stay there, the pool was closed, so no access to pool side chairs or taking a nice swim in the pool. Of course, no mention that the pool would be closed anywhere. Yes, the resort fee (check the fine print) does at least cover 2 beach chairs and an umbrella and 2 flimsy towels, so there is that. And I will say, the beach is very nice :-). The room itself was standard and clean, but no microwave and a tiny cube fridge, so don't plan to save money by microwaving any meals. The carpet in the hallway is old, sad and bunched in the middle, so be careful that you don't trip on it like I did. Also, don't believe the hype on the Groupon description where "every room has a view"- total BS. The view from our room is below. Overall, I was VERY disappointed. For the amount we paid for the Groupon, resort fee and parking, we could have had a very nice stay elsewhere :-(

Miami Beach, Florida: White-Sand Beaches, Glamorous Nightlife, and Cuban Cuisine

Miami Beach is a small barrier island situated between the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay, a shallow lagoon that separates the beaches from downtown Miami. People from all over the world come here to enjoy the white-sand beaches, shop the high-end boutiques, and party at the legendary see-and-be-seen nightclubs the city is known for. The red-hot center of this sexy, international social scene is South Beach, a 20-block stretch filled with upscale lounges, rooftop bars, and ultrahip hangouts behind velvet ropes. Lummus Park beach is packed by mid-morning, and the clubs on Ocean Drive and Washington Avenue—many of which stay open until 5 a.m.—vie for the limelight with VIP service, celebrity DJs, and dressed-to-the-nines crowds.

Beyond the fast-paced luxury of South Beach lies Miami Beach’s softer side. A leisurely stroll through the Art Deco District reveals hundreds of beautiful, candy-colored buildings, including Versace Mansion—a 1930 manor modeled after a palace in the Dominican Republic that belonged to Christopher Columbus’s family. The centerpiece of the city’s arts scene, the Bass Museum of Art displays works from Peter Paul Rubens and Sandro Botticelli, and modern-design objects and propaganda arts fill three stories at the Wolfsonian-FIU museum. There’s also a handful of vibrant ethnic enclaves to explore here, and Little Havana is among the most notable. The neighborhood is lined with family-owned restaurants and Caribbean-style marketplaces, making it a great place to discover some of the country’s most delicious Cuban food, from sugary guarapo juice to pastelitos, or Cuban pastries.

Terrible experience. Staff was rude. As in, horrible. Carpet was not in good shape. Our tv quit working and we were told there was nothing they could do. We were supposed to get a king bed and paid more for it. They didn’t have one so they downgraded us and refused to reduce the cost. They made a copy of my cc and drivers license at check-in. No idea why. Etc, etc Stay elsewhere!

Finders keepers I booked this hotel prior to getting on a Norwegian Salsa cruise 11/13/2025. I stayed with a friend the first night 11/11/2025 and lost a lost a charger in that room. The second night 11/12/2025, I accidentally left 2 coats on the roll away bed in the room. I guess they have a finders keepers policy. We called as soon as we returned from the cruise and they claim they were not in the lost and found. Someone in that hotel has our coats and charger. Be careful with this hotel.

Lovelier than expected We were a family of 4 with a desire to stay right on the beach, but needed to keep it budget friendly. This place was what we hoped, and even better. Everyone was really friendly. Room was clean, with an amazing ocean-facing balcony. Pool was nice, beach chairs and umbrella were fantastic. Breakfast was good. We would definitely stay here again.

Stay away!! Air conditioning system is not working in the entire hotel, was initially put in a room on the 9th floor upon check in but had to move the next day as room was musty & air conditioner was not going below 73. I was then moved to a room on the 4th Floor the next day & was assured that air conditioning was in working order, room temp would not go below 72. Went to front desk a couple of day later at 9am to let them know, was told to come back at 12. Came back at 12pm & was told that engineering would come to look at the room. Engineering came to room at 12:05pm to check, he fiddled with the unit for a few minutes and said that it is working properly but the root from the issue is with the chiller system & advised that "the only rooms that had no cooling issues were rooms on the 4th & 5th floor that were facing the street, all rooms with beach or ocean view have issues" this is what the maintenance supervisor told me. He said that he would speak to front desk & come back right away. I waited in my room for 10 minutes & he still had not returned, it was now 12:20pm so i decided to go to the front desk. I went down again to speak to them & was advised that they can offer me a room on the 6th floor with an ocean view & the AC is for sure good since it's a room that they use for inspection. I asked to check the room first, i was given a key & went up to look at the room. I found that the AC was blowing the same temperature as my other room, i always take an infrared temperature reading device when i go to a hotel (I ran the engineering department in a hotel for 10 years so i am quite familiar with most hotel systems). I went back down after 10 minutes and inquired if they had a street view room on a lower level available, the front desk receptionist just said she doesn't without even bothering to check. Then an employee that was standing on the side decided to mix in & said that i would have to make a decision as i would have to move before 12:30pm, i looked at my watch & told him that it was past that time already so I am not sure how you want me to move before.... I know that the hotel is in the process of renovating as my first room was renovated & the second was not. 1 of the floors was closed off for renovations as well. It's a real shame that the root of the issue is not being addressed, the entire hotel has a mold issue, the hallways and rooms smell musty, even the renovated rooms. Fix the AC first & then renovate the rooms, the location is phenomenal, most of the staff is great but the hotel itself is going downhill.
