There was so much room for the four of us. We never felt clustered and it was very roomy.

Perfect Lodging for our Wedding Guests We booked a block of rooms for our wedding guests at the Black Bear Lodge for a September wedding. The Front Desk crew, Dawn, Branden & Hunter were very friendly & attentive to all our needs during this process right up through guest check-ins. The suite style rooms were clean, spacious & comfortable with a full kitchen. They offer coffee every morning in the Lobby and the location is a short walk to the Town Square that has a coffee shop, restaurants & small local shops. They have an indoor/ outdoor pool and you can also use the Freedom Pass and enjoy Waterville Valley's amenities. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Enjoyable and comfortable Just got back from a wonderful Friday thru Sunday , 2 night stay. The lodge was perfect. The grounds were beautiful. There was a family wedding at Top Notch Cider Brewery in Woodstock, lovely place, and the bridesmaid mom held a block of condo suites for those attending wedding. Perfect accomodations. My condo was large , clean, comfortable and well decorated. It was a one bedroom that slept six people with a queen and trundle bed and a pull down murphy bed in the living room. Beautiful trees could b seen outside both windows. I spent two days walking around the valley in awe of the beautiful mountain scenery all around me. Corcoran pond added to the scenic views. There are plenty activities in the valley if u like hiking, biking or walking around and the village is quaint with places to eat, grocery store, coffee shop, pizza, places to shop. Very nice. Dawn, front desk, was very friendly over the phone and at the front desk. Morning coffee from Mad River in lobby every morning, but all units hv full kitchens if u want make your own. I have been here for all four seasons and Black Bear Lodge never disappoints. Highly recommended!

Dirty, un-maintained building and room. We’ve been coming here to the Black Bear Lodge for 40 years. It’s been in decline for about a dozen years. This August we stayed for three nights and found our room to be absolutely filthy. The living room furniture was gross. Sticky, worn and smelly. The corridor rugs on the 6th floor were also filthy. Our check-in was argumentative. We simply asked for the loft room that we had confirmed thru phone call and email and was told that we hadn’t booked it. (!). Upon showing our receipt we were given the room that we’d booked. I sure wish I’d taken another room. As noted, our room was worn, decrepit and not taken care of. Oh, and our only toilet didn’t flush completely. Ever. I wouldn’t stay here again for free.
