There was so much room for the four of us. We never felt clustered and it was very roomy.

Prior reviews do not do it justice! We hadn't been to Black Bear Lodge in 20 + years and the negative reviews were a concern. Don't let the reviews fool you. This place is still awesome. We stayed in room 512 which was furnished nicely. It was very clean. Beds were comfortable. The amenities (pool, hot tub, game room, coffee in the lobby and access to the Athletic Center) were great. The lodge was a quick walk to the Town Square too. There we found several good restaurants. We loved having bus access to the slopes and the quick walk to ice skating. Our biggest like was the friendliness of the staff. Everyone we met was so helpful and welcoming each time we returned back from an activity. We will definitely not wait another 20 years to return. Go! Stay there! You will love it.

A fun place for this hockey family We stayed here for a hockey tournament and rented 10 suites. Every family had a great time. All the rooms are updated differently but every room was fine. Full kitchen, dining and living area and separate bedroom area. Walkable or quick minute drive to the adorable town square that has shops, restaurants, a general store for all your needs, and the ice arena. If the pool or hot tub is closed the Athletic center is a quick 2 minute drive and is included in your stay. You could spend hours in there. The staff at Black Bear were very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend for a vacation or hockey tournament (the town hosts a lot of them)

Stay away. Advertised amenities not available Disappointed. Dated facilities. Arcade is coin op with poor options for obtaining coins. Pool is advertised on website, but apparently it has not actually been open for some time. Staff not helpful. My advice is to go elsewhere, especially if you have kids.
