This was an amazing experience. The town is super cute. The people are so nice. The Inn itself was clean, quiet and well maintained. We had a really nice experience and would definitely consider coming back. This is a deal for off season, so visitors should keep that in mind. It’s a quiet little town and probably much more busy during peak seasons. We loved the quiet and easy going atmosphere.

Borrego Springs, California: Stargazing Hub amid Expansive Anza-Borrego Desert

For millennia, humans dwelled beneath a dark night sky dotted with millions of stars after the sun sank each evening. Over the past century, however, light pollution has drowned out constellations in urbanized hot spots around the world. Not so in Borrego Springs, the second place in the world dubbed a Dark Sky Community by the International Dark-Sky Association.

USA Today praises the Anza-Borrego Desert as one of the “top spots for stargazing out West.” In the 600,000-acre Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, sky watchers can glimpse the Milky Way, constellations, and even other galaxies. Though the focus is on the sky at night, there’s plenty to do during the day, including hiking, biking, and golfing.

As long as you don't mind not seeing virtually any hotel staff, making the Inn more of an AirBnb, it's a great place: quiet, nice pool & jacuzzi, private patio, and decent breakfast served in your room.

Wonderful cozy and quiet place in great location with views in all directions. Only the payment of an additional resort fee was unexpected and is a nuisance, not worthy a high level place.

Loud fan = sleepless night It was difficult to get in touch with the online staff. This happened on two separate occasions, and each time I had to follow up twice before getting a response. That is not the level of service I was expecting. I anticipate responses within about 45 minutes of a call or text. The property is very nice, it’s just that the air conditioning fan was too loud and I couldn’t shut it off. I had a hard time sleeping even with earplugs. If it hadn’t taken so long to receive a response maybe I could’ve gotten some sleep.

Enjoy the tranquility of this Inn and rejuvenate your soul! If you want to stay in a peaceful, serene setting, then Borrego Valley Inn is the place to go to. My husband & I have stayed here multiple times and we have always had an exceptional stay. The grounds are well-maintained. The rooms have that Santa Fe flair. Incredible cleanliness! And the breakfast in the morning is delicious!
