This was an amazing experience. The town is super cute. The people are so nice. The Inn itself was clean, quiet and well maintained. We had a really nice experience and would definitely consider coming back. This is a deal for off season, so visitors should keep that in mind. It’s a quiet little town and probably much more busy during peak seasons. We loved the quiet and easy going atmosphere.

Borrego Springs, California: Stargazing Hub amid Expansive Anza-Borrego Desert

For millennia, humans dwelled beneath a dark night sky dotted with millions of stars after the sun sank each evening. Over the past century, however, light pollution has drowned out constellations in urbanized hot spots around the world. Not so in Borrego Springs, the second place in the world dubbed a Dark Sky Community by the International Dark-Sky Association.

USA Today praises the Anza-Borrego Desert as one of the “top spots for stargazing out West.” In the 600,000-acre Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, sky watchers can glimpse the Milky Way, constellations, and even other galaxies. Though the focus is on the sky at night, there’s plenty to do during the day, including hiking, biking, and golfing.

The breakfast to your room.

As long as you don't mind not seeing virtually any hotel staff, making the Inn more of an AirBnb, it's a great place: quiet, nice pool & jacuzzi, private patio, and decent breakfast served in your room.

Delightful southwest theme inn The Inn is really lovely. It's southwest theme carried out throughout the property and all the rooms. The grounds are meticulously groomed and the room was very well appointed and clean. The bed is very comfortable and linens very nice; 7 pillows! 2 nice robes though we did not use them, the very basics of dishes for 2 in the kitchenette and a tv with basic channels that was easy to operate. Also a nice electric fireplace that worked well to heat up the room on a cold night .....until the batteries gave out during the night. Brrrr. I found myself wishing that in the afternoon I had called the number for a maintenance person to show me how to use the heat/ac control. It was positioned up too high for me to see the different numbers on the display much less know how to use it. Written directions would have been nice. The chilly pool was crystal clear and the warm spa too. I was surprised to find we were the only ones out enjoying it. There were lots of pool lounges, some with shade, and all in good repair, including 2 very large round upholstered chairs. The sky was incredible blue and the night sky was so clear. Other than the heat unit problem as well as the fireplace not working, my only other complaint was that the bed is too high for those with limited mobility or short people. Next time I will bring a little step from home. I am not a fan of the "invisible check-in", invisible management, but if that is what will keep the cost down, then I am in favor. A good tip for the housekeeping (who delivers a continental breakfast in the morning)/maintenance is in order! They will be the ones who help you the most.

Wonderful Stay at Borrego Valley Inn This is a lovely desert inn located minutes from Anza Borrego State Park, where we stayed for two nights. The bed, pillows and linen were very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. The views from our room facing the mountains were spectacular. We enjoyed spending time by the pool and using the jacuzzi. The continental breakfast is a nice touch, just need to remember to place your order by hanging the placard outside your door the night before). It would be great if a protein option (hard boiled eggs?) were also available.

Most Wonderful! Most fantastic stay at the Inn. Amazing setting in the desert state park and the facilities were very well kept. Absolutely zero complaints and all accolades!
