Sox Game with the Family and a Weekend in Boston I actually stayed here as a kid going to Red Sox games so there was a nostalgia element bringing my sons. We decided to book this hotel as the hotel prices in Boston are currently outrageous. This Marriott was a bit more affordable. The positives: Easy access off of the major highways near Boston. Quick ride into Fenway Park for the game. The property has been remodeled inside. The negatives: The exterior needs a remodel. Charging for parking in this location is just a money grab. It's not in the city. The first floor rooms are musty. Make sure you book on floor 2 or above. The restaurant offered a nice buffet breakfast. The rooms are perfectly fine. Many other Red Sox fans had the same cost savings idea. Overall, the property suited our needs.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE There was a heat emergency in my area and my apartment lost power. Due to the dangerous heat, I wouldn’t be able to stay in my apartment that night. I ended up booking this property around 9pm through Priceline when I had received no update on when my power would be back on. Ten minutes later, I was notified that my power was back on. I immediately called the property and asked for a refund and let them know I was not coming and was told that they couldn’t do anything since I booked through Priceline. I contacted Priceline and the Marriott told Priceline that I was a no-show and therefore they could not offer me a refund. I asked for a credit and they said they could not do this either as it was up to the property. This property is not a four star hotel and does not have the customer service that I have come to expect from a Marriott. I would NOT book here. There are much better hotels in the area.

Hotel com atendimento ruim Minha experiência não foi boa porque o hotel não estornou meu cartão de crédito o depósito de segurança. Enviei vários e-mails ao hotel perguntando porque não foi feito o estorno, mas eles não responderam. Não voltaria me hospedar neste hotel. Atendimento ruim. Translate google: My experience was not good because the hotel did not refund my credit card security deposit. I sent several emails to the hotel asking why the refund was not made, but they did not respond. I would not stay at this hotel again. Bad service.

Stylish Marriott Off The Beaten Path Such a hidden gem! We were so taken aback by the architecture of this place. The exterior seems crystallized in a contemporary 60s style. The building itself is sprawling and the lobby has a very special congregating vibe. Fantastic property with the river running through it and great views of the lake. The hotel feels secluded and private although you are minutes away from downtown Newton. Our room was not ready by the time we arrived (at 4 pm) and we unfortunately were put in a room that was less than equivalent to what we had booked. I would recommend all travelers double check their reservations before letting front desk guide you to the wrong room. But the hotel manager was very quick to solve this, offering us an upgrade for our next visit. Regardless our rooms was clean, comfortable, and felt quite large. The only qualm with this hotel is that they charge $16 for parking (per night!!) regardless of the fact that they have an ample parking lot. Really wish Marriott would reconsider overnight guests parking for free; I have never seen this extra charge at any hotel I've stayed at. Even with the extra cost, Boston Marriott Newton will definitely be our go-to when visiting family in Newton!
