####Calabogie, Ontario: Year-Round Outdoor Adventure in Eastern Ontario
Calabogie sits between massive mountain peaks and serene Calabogie Lake in a spot that’s just as suited for winter sports as it is for summer hikes. When the snow falls, skiiers rush to the 1,285-foot mountain, eager to zip down its 29 runs. A snowmaking machine ensures thick, even coverage to allow visitors to speed down drops of up to 780 feet. Numerous cross-country trails make for scenic trips as well.
In summer, the snow melts, revealing some of Eastern Ontario’s better hiking trails around Dickson and Manitou Mountains. Miles of trails for both beginners and advanced hikers provide views of the surrounding forests and lakes. Calabogie Lake opens to swimmers, kayakers, and paddlers, and fishing boats can head out to the center of the lake to reel in walleye, perch, and muskie.
