What happens if the reservation is canceled, prior to checkin within the alotted time through the groupon cancel option. Will my credit card be reimbursed through the hotel or through groupon?

After you purchase you'll be able to cancel your reservation for a full refund as long as you do so at least 72 hours prior to your check-in time. Once canceled your reservation can not be rescheduled.

Since you'll be securing a reservation as you purchase, your Groupon will not expire until after your stay. After you purchase you'll be able to cancel your reservation as long as you do so at least 72 hours prior to your check-in time. Once canceled your reservation can not be rescheduled.

deal shows rate for single queen @ $48, but when entering dates it gives the other room price of $62. ??

Sorry for the confusion. This deal is available from $48 a night at the lowest. Not all nights will show this price, as some dates will sell out and other nights are more expensive. You can preview the price of any night by hovering your mouse over the date.
