Dallas, Texas: Rejuvenated Urban Districts and Historical Parks

Though some know Dallas only for the massive AT&T Stadium (which is actually in Arlington), the city is also an enclave of arts and nature, overflowing with botanical gardens, art galleries, and live theater. Historic Main Street connects many of the city’s recently rejuvenated urban districts, as well as the popular Main Street Garden, a block-long public park surrounded by architecturally significant buildings.

A short walk from downtown Dallas, you’ll find horse-drawn carriages clopping along brick streets in the city’s historic West End district, which dates back to the 19th century. This part of the city also contains Dealey Plaza, where President Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963. At The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, housed in the former Texas School Book Depository, you can visit the spot where Lee Harvey Oswald is believed to have shot at Kennedy’s presidential motorcade.

Beautiful hotel in a historic Dallas building, located close to so many activities. We had a lovely room with an amazing view of the downtown skyline and the iconic Reunion tower. The beds were super comfortable, and the fridge was a nice addition. Parking was pretty convenient, but did fill up quickly in the evenings when the Fivee club next door got busy. Would def stay here again.

Summer of Loud stay Hospitality was great. We were in town for a concert festival and the room was so nice to come back to after a day in the Texas heat. We loved the industrial look of the whole building and the atmosphere was nice and laid back. Only minor downside was the elevators broke down when we returned late that night and we had to climb the stairs to the fourth floor _.

Did Not Enjoy We came to the hotel hoping for a getaway weekend. We have been here before and the experience the last time was very different. We did not have a good weekend. We will re consider booking again. Room was clean. Staff could have been more helpful to paying guests.

Good area/staff, bad everything else Good area and rooftop pool…. that’s it. The staff were nice but hotel has an automatic $200 deposit on top of your payment when you get to the hotel, seemingly mandatory valet, walls are thin you hear every conversation in the hallway above a whisper, and for LORDS SAKE KEEP A TV ON WHEN YOU SLEEP!! you will hear every neighboring rooms (+above and below) urine hitting the water and their flush FROM YOUR BED!!! Unless you must, spend the money somewhere else and go to an airbnb or something. SCREW CANVAS HOTEL.
