Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: Sandy Beaches, Golf Courses, and Classic Amusement-Park Rides

Myrtle Beach is the crown jewel of South Carolina's Grand Strand, a 60-mile stretch of white-sand beaches along the Atlantic seaboard that draws surfers, fishers, and kayakers. The city was named one of the best vacation spots in the United States for a family by USA Today, in part because of its wooden boardwalk, which stretches for more than a mile. Hop into the SkyWheel Ferris wheel’s gondolas, surrounded by more than a million LED lights, for a panoramic view of the city below.

Less than 20 miles south of Myrtle Beach, the tiny fishing village of Murrells Inlet provides a tranquil contrast to the boardwalk's hustle and bustle. At Brookgreen Gardens, more than 2,000 sculptures stand amid sprawling floral gardens and massive, moss-covered oak trees that have been around for centuries. Murrells Inlet is also home to the Tom Fazio–designed TPC Myrtle Beach golf course, 1 of nearly 80 courses in the area that helped Myrtle Beach earn its title as the seaside golf capital of the world.

Not the worse surprising a good stay ! There is a lot of construction but it didn’t not mess with our vacation. Was scared because I’m use to hiltons and Marriott’s but it was actually ok . The room we weee in 604 was outdated and rough around the edges but it was clean . The air was so cool we never had an issue with that lol . If you like comforters they don’t have them on the bed they have sheets that’s it . They do have mattress covers on all beds so that was nice . It’s just outdated ! They are remodeling and my daughter stayed in a semi updated one and it was nice . The price was great , staff were great . Pool was very clean and refreshing . Loved the kids side and adult side . Adventure land is right down the street so great for kids . The entrance to the beach was clean and easy to get to . Towel service was great . My only complaint was it was very very outdated ! No bugs , not dirty at all just outdated . Elevators are small too , you don’t get housekeeping or at least we didn’t get any unless we called for new towels and sheets . There is a parking fee for 12 a night and they have security in the parking deck and walking around at night . We will return once remodeled because the kids loved it and it was a nice stay . They also had a show on Sunday a hula show which was nice ! Thanks for the stay
