Myself, another adult and 3 children aged 5-7 all lefts comfortably in the double bed sleeper. It had a pull out bed chair which my seven year old slept and fit perfectly with lots of wiggle room. In the water park however all the slides but one were closed both days we went and of one of the pools that had basket ball hoops was closed the second day. Food and drinks are expensive. 8/10 overall

Sandusky, Ohio: Family-Friendly Town with Amusement Parks Along Lake Erie

The town of Sandusky lies on the shores of Lake Erie, about midway between Cleveland and Toledo. It's a family-friendly destination with a slew of theme parks and scenic coastal islands. Cedar Point, open May through October, is one of the oldest amusement parks in the United States and a must-do for thrill seekers. The park’s Millennium Force roller coaster set records as the tallest and fastest in the world when it was introduced in 2000. More recently, the GateKeeper scooped up seven world records when it opened in 2013, including the "longest drop on a wing coaster."

If you prefer a slower pace, visit Sandusky’s former post office, which has been transformed into the Merry-Go-Round Museum. The grand building is full of antique carousels of all shapes and sizes, restored to their original splendor; it’s also rumored to house a couple of ghosts. More spooky fun awaits at Ghostly Manor Thrill Center, which features a haunted house, a roller rink, a 4D theater, black-light mini golf, and bounce houses.

Great start to vacation We had a great stay. All the staff from the front desk, lifeguards, dining, activity, etc were friendly and helpful. Resort was clean and easy to navigate. Room was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable. One recommendation is to not get an adjoining room if not needed, it it loud and you can hear a lot through that door. Water Park was ok for what it is. Enough for little kids to do and the hot tub was nice to chill in. I watched the lifeguards interact with guests when they were enjoying the water features which was fun. Used the early entry to get into CP which was worth it. Good stay. Happy to have stopped.

Excellent place for families visiting Cedar Point We arrived early and the kids, ages 13 and 11, immediately headed with their mother to the waterpark. Our son and daughter-in-law had arrived about 3 hours before we did. Because the reservation was in my name, they found they couldn’t use the park, BUT, the receptionist said that if we called the front desk, she would see that they could enter. We did and provided a few details. The kids and their Mom went to the Waterpark and when we arrived three hours later, they reported that Castaway Bay had the best waterpark ever. We had to see it. We went down and we saw a clean, well maintained area, with many attentive pool guards watching all the water areas. We learned that because they did not have sufficient staff, several of the areas were closed. The kids loved it and we were comfortable with the cleanliness and the emphasis on safety. 5 Stars. Later that evening, the kids went to the arcade and agin reported back that the evening was special. They had lots of fun and their Mom told us that the cost was reasonable. We had 7 people and were in four connected rooms. Interestingly, one of the rooms did not have a direct exit to the hall but did have access to both rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They weren’t spacious (no chair in our room) with two queens, but in two of the rooms, there was a comfortable chair and a small table. For us, the space was perfect. Well, I guess, my partner and I would have appreciated having a shower rather than a bath, but, we were comfortable. 4.5 stars. The facility was clean and I did my regular toilet checks and discovered no ring under the rim (often ignored by cleaning staff).

The worst experience ever I had the worst experience ever at this hotel. The fire alarm went off twice without any explanation, and each time it was turned off silently only to go off again shortly after. When I asked the front desk, I received no answers or assistance. To make matters worse, EMS personnel on-site behaved unprofessionally, flipping us off and using offensive language in front of guests and children. I strongly advise against staying here—save your money and go to Kalahari or another better-rated hotel.
