Wonderful and historic place to stay! Cedar Crest was amazing. We booked room #1 and enjoyed our own entrance with parking right outside. We also had a very comfortable bed, couch and two separate bathrooms (1 full and 1 powder room). A wonderful light breakfast was provided every day and we were able to sit outside and enjoy it on the gorgeous wraparound porch. Asheville is still recovering from Helene, but Cedar Crest was perfect. Christie was an excellent host and the owner Kelly was very helpful, as well. We will definitely stay there again.

Asheville, NC: Where Appalachian Heritage Meets Artistic Soul

Tucked into the scenic embrace of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Asheville, North Carolina, is a city that pulses with the pride of its Appalachian roots and the creative energy of a thriving arts scene. Once a strategic hub for railroads and trade in the early 20th century, Asheville has gracefully preserved its architectural legacy—most notably the Biltmore Estate, America’s largest privately owned home, which stands as a testament to Gilded Age grandeur. Strolling through downtown reveals a trove of Art Deco facades, historic buildings, and independent galleries, reflecting a community fiercely devoted to its cultural identity.

Nature and nurture exist in harmony here. The nearby Blue Ridge Parkway offers sweeping vistas and access to some of the region’s most stunning hiking trails and waterfalls, while the city itself brims with farm-to-table restaurants, microbreweries, and music venues that capture the spirit of local innovation. Asheville’s history as a health resort in the 19th century now feeds into its modern reputation as a wellness and outdoor recreation destination. At every turn, from mountaintop sunrise to the drum circles of Pack Square, Asheville invites exploration, reflection, and the rediscovery of American heritage at its most soulful.

Feels haunted This place feels haunted. It’s a pretty inn, but the vibe is just strange. Definitely look for another place to stay if you come to Asheville.

Charm and comfort! We were very pleased with our stay. Very comfortable and quiet with extra attention from Cristy to any matter. Plenty of hot water for a refreshing shower and a tasty cup of coffee and breakfast before heading out.

Great time at Cedar Crest Inn! We had a wonderful time at Cedar Crest Inn! It was very clean and the staff was very attentive. We were given a tour of the place when we got there, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was good, with lots of choices. Would definitely return!
