Issues with 3rd party booking Unfortunately this hotel wouldn’t honor my third party booking price. I paid 229 online and was told I owed 19.96 at the property. Upon check in I was charged $129! Hard to dispute bc I would lose my initial payment and not have a room for the night. The desk worker understood my frustration and did her best to “make it right” but it’s the fact they have you over the barrel at the moment when trying to check in at 7pm with family in tow. By making it right she offered us breakfast vouchers and a couple free drinks that evening. Hardly covers $110 additional fee I got hit with it but still appreciated. Beds were comfortable, room was clean and adequate. However the shower needs some non slip in the bottom of it. Also the curtain blocks the ac unit if you’re trying to black out the room. Unfortunately the light still coming in had me up at 0530. Booked this room bc it was somewhat close to the red line and getting back and forth to the cubs game was a breeze.

Never staying here again!!!! What a rip off, booked hotel room online only to find out that they have a "mandatory guest fee which is not included in the price of the room. I had to pay $129.00 extra for one night. This included drink ticket worth $16.00 and breakfast buffet. This is unbelievable, I travel for business across the country and have never experienced anything like this. The hotel room was run down, and the breakfast buffet was horrible.

Bait and Switch Fees Do not book this hotel. They offer cheap hotel price then sock you with a 'resort fee' at time of check in. this is not a resort, it is a basic hotel. Bait and switch sales tactic - offer super low rate on hotel tonight and then charge 2x as much for resort fee! Hotel resort fee covers breakfast for two but I was traveling alone. And drinks at bar - I don’t drink! Breakfast hours didn’t start until 7:30, had to leave for business at 7 am. So essentially paid excessive fee but that fee didn’t accommodate number of travelers or business hours . Also charged fee for 1 1/2 days even though I checked after 1 night. Beds were terrible, pillows flat. Everything in room out of scale, like bed almost on floor but other things so high up I couldn’t reach. Ended up checking into another hotel.

AVOID. BE CAREFUL OF EXTRA CHARGES I would avoid this hotel. We booked a package deal through a 3rd party. We saw reviews about the almost $90 extra fee, per room, per night. We contacted the hotel via email and they said as we had booked before the date this came in, we did not have to pay. Our 3rd party also confirmed this. We arrived and found out our booking had been 'cancelled' as we had not paid. I can assure you we had. We called our 3rd party and all of a sudden the hotel 'found' our booking. We asked at check in if we had to pay this $90 they said no. Other guests received a goody bag, we did not, so i can only assume this came for the $90. We did not eat at the hotel, and only had 2 drinks which we paid for at the bar (barman was great by the way). We checked out after a 7 night stay, received invoices that stated $0 to be paid. Yet 1 month later it looks like we have now been charged, for things we did not use!!! I find this very sneaky and under handed, a month later? We're they hoping we wouldn't notice? Good location but over priced and not 4 stars in my opinion. Rooms are run down, walls are thin, doors so heavy they bang loudly and staff were not very polite. Stayed 7 nights and room was cleaned once, had to empty the bins ourself and had to go and ask for clean towels, now I'm no snob but these are usually the luxuries that come with a hotel stay. The bar man told us there has been a lot of changes recently and it is a shame as previous reviews say how good this hotel once was!

Horrible place, that's the positive part Horrible disgusting place, this hotel is a joke, they charged me 140 dollars on top of the room charge. For water, I didn't take, 3 drinks I didn't drink, and a breakfast i didn't eat. I'm a Marine Corp veteran traveled my entire life, I've never written a review. Zero integrity or honesty at this horrible location. By the way the 140 screwing is for every day, and of course I couldn't cancel my room.
