The ambassador It was ok, but not what was advertised. Reviews I read said we could walk to Wrigley Field, but you can’t. But hey- we got to use the L which was a whole new experience- a good one. The room is very simple. The bed was low to the ground. Wasn’t anything that a more budget friendly room didn’t have except the history. I wasn’t overly impressed with the 75.00 a day parking fee, but who would be. Overall it was fine, but nothing really impressive

Not worth the money, hidden fees Looks good on the outside and that is it. The rooms are old and so is the decor. The bathroom is small and there was mold. The furniture had holes. Not 4 star quality at all. Also the resort fee is not negotiable. It is requires and doubles the cost of the stay. What you get is not worth it!! Do t be fooled by fake AI reviews. Do t waste your money here!!

Hidden fees! Terrible guest service! What a scam! Booked through a 3rd party. Arrived at 9pm with my husband and 5 year old. Tried to check in and the front desk girl said we had only paid for the room and taxes and not their mandatory guest benefit package. I asked what that was and she said, "you can read it from the sign behind you." She was so incredibly rude, kept eating while she was talking, she wouldn't even look at me and wouldn't explain what the package was. Only saying it was mandatory or to "go find somewhere else to stay". The guest benefit package ended up being double our hotel stay! I kept trying to ask for more information and she refused saying I could read if I wanted the information. She wouldn't even give me her name and wasn't wearing a name tag. I reviewed with the 3rd party trying to see how this could have happened and am disputing with them now as its very poorly worded and not readily available. By the way, the guest package is supposed to include gift cards for a restaurant but they don't give that out unless you specifically ask for it! So...so...so scammy. I have never been so fearful of what shadyness a hotel can pull and so, for the first time ever, I took before photos of our room and will be taking after photos. Too add to the full experience, our room was in rough shape. Carpet was pulling up from the corner, grossness was on the front of the refrigerator, bathrooms looked dingy, the food wasn't really even warm and we were the first ones to get the the "mandatory" buffet. In addition, when I asked for a copy of the receipt of this mandatory guest package, the lady chuckled at us before handing it over. Stay away from this awful place!

Rip off city I was unpleasantly surprised to learn about a mandatory $89.99 fee per night that was not mentioned when I booked the room. They say this brings their rate to one that’s comparable to other hotels in the area but it is deceptive if you’re researching your trip online and the fee isn’t mentioned. This hotel really isn’t that great - rooms are basic and dated and don’t include any art work or other nice touches. Same for hallways. The lobby is nice looking but that’s all - I won’t be back.

Much better as a Hyatt - skip it now Staff are untrained. Could not give any referrals for restaurants in walking distance ( there are at least 5). Not a smile to be seen. Rooms have not been upgraded. On checkout charged a $40 a night ‘processing fee’. Asked for manager and told one would show up between 1-5pm( after checkout time ). Hotel was fine when it was a Hyatt - skip it now
