10/10 stay! Had a great time the other weekend at Radio Hotel! My boyfriend and I love the deluxe king room, best space for us. Clean and everything in working order. Our friends passed by and we were allowed to sit with them in the courtyard and chat a bit. They were impressed with the hotel as well. Can’t wait to come again in the near future!

No hot water, small rooms, horrible communication I stayed here in late July of this year while taking the bar exam and had a very disappointing experience. There was no hot water, the headboard in my room made a loud buzzing sound all night, and staff gave me conflicting explanations about the issues. I left behind medication, and when I called the next day a staff member confirmed it had been found, but later I was told nothing was left. I’ve called at least a dozen times, both before my stay to ask a general question, and after to get help with the medication left behind, and the hotel has only ever answered twice. These calls took place at different times over the course of 3 weeks. To make matters worse, I learned the hotel raised rates nearly 80–85% within 24 hours of the bar exam location being announced, yet could not provide even basic service or communication. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing stay.

No hot water. Poor response from hotel staff. 3 issues occurred that effectively ruined our stay: Ascending order of importance. 1. No hot water for 2 days. Abysmal employee response to this situation. 2. Low level smell of marijuana in the lobby. No commentary required. 3. The “studio” room is smaller than a single cabin on a cruise ship. We were not expecting a massive room. Both my wife and I have lived in tiny apartments in Manhattan earlier in our lives and are accustomed to and experienced with small living spaces. This particular space was minuscule and misrepresented on the website. I will comment further only on the lack of hot water. We booked for two nights but left the hotel after a day plus, choosing to stay the second night elsewhere in NYC. While we understand a malfunction or breakage can affect the physical plant of a hotel, failure to effect a repair or replacement is beyond unacceptable. Greater than 24 hours without hot water shows lack of interest and even disdain for customers. There was no apology let alone any possibility of discount or refund. The response to this hot water issue was dismissive and indicates their complete lack of interest in providing a solid, at bare minimum, experience for their customers. The attitude is one of “you are fortunate to pay to stay in our hotel” as opposed to “how can we provide a pleasant stay”. Absolutely unacceptable. Extremely strong recommendation against this property.
