Q:

If we stay at the resort two nights do we receive water park passes for all three days or only two? We are looking at staying the 5-7th of August. Thank you :)

Christina H.  asked on  Jul 10, 2013

A:

Christina, great question! As guests of the Hotel, your Water Park bands will be valid from day of check-in through the day of check-out. For your stay, it would be valid for 3 days technically. Enjoy your visit!!

Q:

I see check in is at 4:00 but if we arrived earlier would we be able to utilize the water park while waiting for our rooms or do we have to wait.

Petronella M.  asked on  Jul 10, 2013

A:

Petronella, You are absolutely welcome to enjoy the Water Park during operational hours in the event you have to wait for your room. A majority of rooms may not be available until closer to 4pm depending on the date and room type selected. Upon arrival, the Front Desk Staff will have to put down your incidental deposit and provide the family with the appropriate wrist bands to begin your adventure. An agent will call you when the room is available or you are welcome to keep tabs on the room with a brief visit back to the desk. Enjoy your stay! (same after check-out, at 11am, the room must be vacated, but you can still enjoy the Water Park until closing hours that day).

Q:

I viewed this deal shortly after receiving the email because my 11 year old son has always wanted to stay at CoCo Key resort. We are planning a trip for 2 nights July 28 & 29. I SWEAR when I highlighted those dated yesterday at 2pm the $66/night rate for a King appeared. So excited. When I went to BUY after confirming with my husband in the evening the rate shows $99/night. big difference and out of our budget. I scanned the months and didn't see a $66 rate until November! Do the rates change on an advertised Groupon? So disappointed. I'm wondering if I should wait to see if the $66 rate becomes available again since this is our first choice or book elsewhere since our trip is 2 weeks away......

Jeralyn A.  asked on  Jul 10, 2013

A:

Jeralyn, I'm sorry for any confusion. There is a $66+/night rate shown located by the room type when selecting the initial room type. However, on the Calendar Grid provided, the nightly rate is clearly displayed for the rate and yes July dates will be from $99/night. The lowest rate for this travel promotion is $66, and yes those dates are later in the Fall. The rates do not change as you are booking, but do vary based on selected dates. They are loaded and fixed based on limited inventory for the specific date. Upon checking out, before confirming the reservation, the screen also provides a recap of the nightly rate, taxes and resort fee totals. There will not be a $66 rate in July. Please feel free to contact support at Groupon.com for further assistance with your booking. I assure you, nothing was changed while you were making your reservation.

Q:

I also am a family of 5. Do you have adjoining room that connect with a door like other hotels? If so, would that be possible to book using a groupon?

Von E.  asked on  Jul 10, 2013

A:

Von, We do have several rooms which connect via an internal door between 2 rooms. 2 Groupon Getaways would be required to be purchased and after 48 hours, we ask that you contact the hotel directly via reservations@cocokeyorlando.com to confirm connecting rooms. We make every effort to accommodate each request, but all requests are not guaranteed. Due to fire code, we can only offer the rooms for up to 4 people. However, we do have families of 5 book a single room and work out the sleeping arrangements on their own. Keep in mind, Rollaway Beds are not available. Also, the Resort Fee will only included up to 4 water park admissions - additional admission is $9.95+tax each for up to 2 people. Children under 36" are free with paid accompanying adult.

Q:

When do you close down your water park? I see the price quoted are for dates POSSIBLY in November/ December with rates higher during the summer months. This deal charges a $20 resort fee per night, which as you stated above, covers 4 people to use the water park. If your water park is closed during the winter months, do you still charge the resort fee since it is not technically a resort then, it is a hotel? Also what constitutes an "incidental" charge that requires a $50 deposit, which you describe as an authorization? Do you have a clause stating you may charge other fees to the authorized account if you feel the occupants, for example, smoked in the room regardless of if they actually did or not becuause it would be up to hotel management to determine the truth? I have heard of many different types of companies that now have the ability/authority to re-submit charges and debit accounts without approval from the account holder.

jaimie r.  asked on  Jul 9, 2013

A:

Jaimie, Lots of great questions: - There are a few select dates the Water Park may close due to Winter Seasonal Hours. Hours are subject to change without notice and can be verified online for the most up to date hours of operations. Typically Mon-Wed may close in Nov & Dec dates. Anticipated closure dates are Nov 4-6, Nov 11-13, Dec 2-4, Dec 9-11, Dec 16-18. These may change based on demand. -The Resort Fee is charged to all reservations regardless of amenity usage or availability. The Resort Fee still covers all property amenities, not just the Water Park. We offer scheduled shuttle service to local theme Parks (Universal/SeaWorld/Aquatica), we offer Kid's Activities throughout the month, the Hotel's private pool and Jacuzzi Tub are also available. Parking, Wi-Fi, Business Center and Fitness Center are also available with the Resort Fee. -In regards to incidentals, they are best described as any anticipated room charges additional to the agreed rate, resort fee, and associated taxes. This can include F&B purchases charged to your room, Appropriate penalties (smoking fee, early departure fees, late check-out fees, etc.), or any unforeseen damages. CoCo Key only authorizes $50 on a credit card, and any appropriate authorizations needed if your room charges exceed $50. This is all disclosed in the Hotel's Terms & Conditions. Release of the hold if there are no additional charges are typically released within 3-5 business days or otherwise specified by your individual bank. When checking-in, all guests are required to sign a Registration Card which reviews the smoking policy (and fee) as well as the hold for incidentals. This is for the Hotel's protection as well as provides our guests with a "line of credit" for your convenience to charge F&B to your room versus carrying cash or cards around the Water Park where you risk it being lost while enjoying the amenities of the Water Park. Hope this helps

Q:

We have a family of eight, wanting to come Thanksgiving week, how can I get appropriate accomodations for all of us. If adjoining rooms can I be sure I will get it?

Laurie B.  asked on  Jul 9, 2013

A:

Laurie, I would suggest choosing the room type with 2 beds, and then select the dates over thanksgiving week you would like. After booking 2 getaway rooms, allow 48 hours for our team to complete your reservation(s). Once completed, please contact in-house reservations via reservations@cocokeyorlando.com to confirm connecting rooms. Requests are not guaranteed, but we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

I want to buy one for me and my bro and husband. Is it a different price per person or is it all for a room? And also what other things or activities is included in the fee

Emerline D.  asked on  Jul 9, 2013

A:

Emerline, If you would like 3 rooms, it would require 3 separate reservations via this feature. The prices provided on the Calendar are per room up to 4 people in a room. After the promotional room rate, taxes, and resort fee, your stay will include: Accommodation in the room type selected for the dates selected, Parking, Wi-Fi use, Fitness Center Access, Business Center Access, Kid's activities, Schedule shuttle service to Universal Orlando, WetNWild, SeaWorld, and Aquatica, as well as up to 4 admissions to CoCo's Water Park valid from day of Check-in to Check-out.
