Orlando, Florida: World-Famous Theme Parks and Cultural Surprises

Located in the center of Florida, Orlando may be forever associated with the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks—the world’s most-visited entertainment resort. Spanning roughly 30,000 acres, it encompasses four theme parks, two water parks, and five golf courses. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. Walk across the park to sample Moroccan cuisine for lunch, or ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. Before heading back to the hotel, take in the nightly fireworks, laser, and water show. One of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is also home to Universal Orlando—which includes The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—SeaWorld, and Gatorland.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando's vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which hosts family-friendly improv shows five nights a week.

Great place but gone cashless!! Bring back the use of cash!! We love Coco Key, its in the middle of everything from food outlets, gift shops, every day stores to the bus stops North and South bound. The rooms are nice and clean, staff are lovely, helpful as always, cleaners are lovely and helpful, the pools and water park is great for all ages and hearing the laughter and excitement from my children throughout the park is a great feeling..but the reason I have given the hotel 4 stars is bcos you have gone cashless_ as a customer we should have the option throughout the hotel to use cash or card (this wasnt mentioned when we booked). Real shame as we had food off you last year, was able to sit in the bar area with our drinks watching the entertainment and taken part in the entertainment but this year it was very different to where we ended up travelling out to the nearest bar which was the irish bar and used other food outlets for breakfasts and evening meals when we would of liked to have stopped in the hotel after a long busy day. We are hoping to book again by the end of the year with Coco Key but if the cashless isnt lifted then it will be just a bed down only and using the rest of I-drive as our way of eating and entertainment. Please consider putting cash back on throughout the hotel as you have lost over $350+ just from us and possibly from other families who walked at the same time as us.

They have roaches I stayed here for my daughter’s birthday I saw this hotel on TikTok it seemed like a nice place. Check in was at 4 we arrived at 430 they still needed an another hour for our room to be inspected before we go in. The room was still dirty it had hair in the bath tub and glass on the floor, the room was outdated. The second room they gave us was recently renovated it looked nice. We went to the water park and came back to the room to take a shower a go to sleep and this is when we saw 3 different ROACHES. Went straight to the manager to get a refund and has to find another hotel at 1145pm on a Sunday

Awful rooms, not as advertised Booked here for 2 weeks at end of May with my partner and 12 year old son. The ‘family room’ was 2 double beds, a bedside table, one chair, an fridge and a desk with 3 drawers. The floor was dirty, there were no cups or glasses, the bathroom was dirty. There was nowhere to unpack, no sitting area, had to sit on the beds. Our room was right next to the parking lot, and a path to get to the pool, couldn’t open the blinds for people looking in the room. The pool was so full of chlorine my son had sore eyes for hours after swimming, there were not enough seats/beds at pool (it was very busy) and all the food and drinks were ridiculously overpriced and not enough staff, so it took ages to get served. We didn’t eat here so can’t comment on food. We found alternative accommodation and was told when we checked out that we would be refunded minus the 2 days we’d stayed. This didn’t happen. When I raised the issue with the company I booked with, they were told that there would be no refund. I’m now down £1000 for 12 nights accommodation that I didn’t use. The manager Angele has refused to refund any of the money we paid. This ‘Hotel’ or motel is in a good location, especially for universal studios but I’d recommend staying somewhere else.
