Orlando, Florida: World-Famous Theme Parks and Cultural Surprises

Located in the center of Florida, Orlando may be forever associated with the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks—the world’s most-visited entertainment resort. Spanning roughly 30,000 acres, it encompasses four theme parks, two water parks, and five golf courses. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. Walk across the park to sample Moroccan cuisine for lunch, or ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. Before heading back to the hotel, take in the nightly fireworks, laser, and water show. One of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is also home to Universal Orlando—which includes The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—SeaWorld, and Gatorland.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando's vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which hosts family-friendly improv shows five nights a week.

Old hotel with a decent water park. We booked a king studio suite with a bunk bed. The bunk bed was missing screws and was unstable. The room was old, light fixture glass was broken, electrical outlets were loose, some had rust on them. The sofa bed had a mattress pad on it that looked like it hadn’t been changed in months. Found hair in my complimentary breakfast The water park was the only saving grace.

Family vacation This was our first time staying at this resort and we would definitely be back. All the amenities make this resort worth it, especially if you're a family with kids. The room was spacious and clean. Things that I would give feedback on for a better stay would be, better pillows, a less noisy bed, and a smarter plumber when installing sink faucets. _ Other than that, everything was great!

2 week stay by brits. We've stayed on international drive before but a different hotel. My 5 year old loved the water park, it was nice during the week when the 'long stay' holiday makers where In it but the weekends fetched rude and ignorant weekend stayers. We had kids knocking on the door in the night, people running up and down the hall ways at stupid o'clock in the morning. The hotel on the outside looks lovely however the rooms have no storage and is very dated. The beds are old, with a painted headboard. The facilities inside the rooms were all In working order but it desperately needs new furniture, there's a pole in the bathroom for clothes and you have 3 hangers...so fetch your own coat hangers. The food inside the hotel is expensive, i personally wouldn't recommend the breakfast as the price is so expensive and there's nit that much variety. Our Aircon stopped working at 8pm and after phoning the reception (who don't answer) we walked to reception in the end and it was fixed within the hour...very grateful for the maintenance staff for that! Although it was an okay stay, I wouldn't stay again because of the people it fetches in on the weekends. You also have to wear a rist band for the 2 weeks stay which we didn't get informed about and you also have to put a deposit down which we also didn't get told about by virgin holidays.
