Orlando, Florida: World-Famous Theme Parks and Cultural Surprises

Located in the center of Florida, Orlando may be forever associated with the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks—the world’s most-visited entertainment resort. Spanning roughly 30,000 acres, it encompasses four theme parks, two water parks, and five golf courses. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. Walk across the park to sample Moroccan cuisine for lunch, or ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. Before heading back to the hotel, take in the nightly fireworks, laser, and water show. One of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is also home to Universal Orlando—which includes The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—SeaWorld, and Gatorland.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando's vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which hosts family-friendly improv shows five nights a week.

Resort fees and roaches We stayed in the Orlando Location in January 2026. We will never be staying here again. There were roaches in our food and clothes and the only accommodation to remedy this disgusting experience was to switch rooms. We pre-paid for valet for the entire week. We requested our car 15 minutes in advance as asked to do and when we came to collect our car, the valet was either on break, not there yet, or talking with coworkers in the lobby. We had to go and request our car again and wait even longer at that point. We then had to ask for a manager multiple times to speak about these issues and they tried to only offer us free breakfast. We needed up with resort fees and the valet charge refunded thankfully. But it is ridiculous we had to argue for those things in the first place. We were also unable to use any of the amenities they offer at this location. The water park was closed 3 out of the 5 days we were there. The days they are open, the hours of operation is 11am-5pm. I’m sorry but we came to Orlando for the parks, not to spend an entire day at a motel that’s being advertised as a resort. It’s also a bad sign when people are asking where we are staying and we tell them Coco Key, they say I’m so sorry. We will NOT e back nor will we be recommending.

Good choice I liked my experience at the hotel, although the room was a little different from what I was expecting. The employees are great and very friendly and helpful. I’d like to mention Nordine and Sandra, they are both great and made us feel welcome! Breakfast is also very good and the price is good.

Great service! I came here with a group. Sandra and Luana took amazing care of us, ensuring the buffet was full and the tables were cleaned. Incredible service!
