Orlando, Florida: World-Famous Theme Parks and Cultural Surprises

Located in the center of Florida, Orlando may be forever associated with the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks—the world’s most-visited entertainment resort. Spanning roughly 30,000 acres, it encompasses four theme parks, two water parks, and five golf courses. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. Walk across the park to sample Moroccan cuisine for lunch, or ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. Before heading back to the hotel, take in the nightly fireworks, laser, and water show. One of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is also home to Universal Orlando—which includes The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—SeaWorld, and Gatorland.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando's vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which hosts family-friendly improv shows five nights a week.

Great hotel with good facilities and centrally located We had a great 21 day stay at Coco Key. We had a problem with our rooms on the first night but were moved the next day. The Tower rooms were very spacious and well appointed with a fridge, coffee machine, iron and very large TV. The AC was very effective and meant coming back to a cool room after a day in sweltering heat. The rooms were cleaned regularly and towels changed every day. The pool and spa for guests was super and you could order food and drink from a quaint vintage van beside the pool. We didn't use the water park but heard good things about it. Lots of places to eat (McDonalds, Cicis Pizza, IHOP and Dennys) all 5 minutes walk away. Free itrolley tickets from reception too. Staff at the hotel were so helpful especially David in bookings and Alex. Clara and George at reception. Would would go back? Definitely!

Well worth a visit! 1s time here and will definitely be back! Only booked it because we took our 5yr old grandson with us who would enjoy use of the water park, we all ended up loving the water park. The staff are friendly, food is really good, the rooms are basic but everything you need and very comfortable, the rooms get cleaned and get new bedding and towels EVERY day! Location is great as well, transport supplied to both Disney and Universal

Enjoyable Stay with the Family We enjoyed our time at the resort. We checked in on 07/26/2025 and we checked out 07/27/2025. We arrived early on 07/27/2025 and we were able to check in early at no extra cost. We were charged for parking $12.75. When attempting to park we struggle a bit there was large dumpster in the parking lot appear they were conducting some maintenance in some of the units. We quickly got to our room and got changed for the water park. Once we arrived in the water park we found a table got to enjoying the slides with the kids. There were a total of 6 slides and 1 was closed. In the pool area the one slide was closed as well. All 4 of the mini slides were open. We enjoyed our time and had dinner across the street a lot of available restaurants walking distance so that was a plus. The next morning we were excited to enjoy an hour or two at the water park however it does not open till 11 so that was disappointing. So we spend some time in the resort pool which had some life entertainment with singing and hula dancers which my kids really enjoyed. Overall great stay although the waterpark aspect was a let down due to hours and not able to enjoy all the slides as they were closed.
