Six Out of 5 Stars This inn was exceptional in every way. Clean, bright facility and room. Everything worked. Extremely courteous, friendly people. I was prepared to give it a top rating, but then they went over the top. A day after checking out, I discovered that I had accidentally left without 7 shirts that were hanging in the closet. Among them were four favorites — expensive and impossible to replace. I called and got Samantha. She called Housekeeping and learned that they did not find them. Another guest had now spent a night in the room, but did not report finding the shirts. While I was on the line, Samantha went to the room, found the shirts and arranged to ship them to me. Exceptional personal service. I was tremendously relieved. Thanks to all who made my stay pleasant, and especially to Samantha, whose attitude and work ethic are superb. I spend a few days in Evansville several times a year. From now on, I’ll stay at this Comfort Inn.

Room smelled like urine. The room smelled like cat piss, I didn’t even stay. I’ll never go there again. I should get a refund. I decided to drive 4.5. hour than deal with this hotel. I cannot believe they would place someone in the room. They should have known better. Wtf!

Just Don’t The place is quiet. Beds are comfortable. If that’s all you want, great. Breakfast was the worst hot hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Cardboard “eggs” that were almost inedible. Greasy link sausage that just didn’t smell good. Half a point for fresh bananas, because that’s all I could eat. The hot water in the shower simply wasn’t. I’d call a setting of “full-blast hot” warm enough, but that’s about it. After a long day’s drive, I was looking forward to a bit of a hot soak. You won’t find that in room 336. There are probably 15 other hotels in the area. They’re probably all quiet. Pick one of those instead.

Nice bed and TV, but lots of problems Arriving after 5pm, I first had to deal with a crazy lady backing up in the parking lot. At checkin I was greeted with a sign saying they were temporarily away, and would be back soon which turned into 10 minutes. I asked about servicing the room and they promised it would happen every day, and while I got towels every day, they didn’t make the bed. There was an extra $50 charge to my credit card, which meant when I went to attractions, the credit card was declined. This is the first I have seen of this charge, and I was not happy with it as a loyal Choice member. The room was fine with a great TV, though it was arranged oddly with the couch on the same wall as the TV. The bathroom was also difficult with the tub and toilet in a separate room and an awkwardly placed door. The bed was WONDERFUL, and I slept great, even better than at home. The hotel was newer, but still needs some work. The landscaping was full of weeds and not well taken care of with trash and an abandoned car in the parking lot. On the second day, I came back exhausted and my keys wouldn’t work, so I had them reprogrammed and they still wouldn’t work, so they “broke into my room” which was disturbingly easy and they replaced the lockset while I was at dinner. The proximity lock where you hold the key at the door are completely unreliable and seem to malfunction more than they work. There is a Cracker Barrel within walking distance and many fast-food restaurants within two miles. I’d probably stay here again since the bed was so great.

Black mold If you have asthma, copd, or any reactive airway issues, do not stay here. There is no bathroom ventilation and there is black mold in all the bathrooms. They paint over it to try and hide it. Mold will thrive in paint and with the moisture in bathroom, it will grow back worse. The staff seems unconcerned. I asked to be moved but discovered mold ( and not just a few spots but patches of mold) in each room. I asked to have the manager contact me. The night manager assured me that I would be contacted but never was. If you don’t have respiratory issues, mold will cause sinus congestion, cough, headaches, and airway irritation. It can occur within 2 hours of exposure. With longer exposure it can cause more serious illness. If you stay, keep the bathroom door close to reduce the airborne spores. I will never stay there again.
