Neglected Property - buyer beware. Unfortunately, we were fooled by the pictures on the website into thinking this “resort” was freshly renovated and clean. When we arrived and were checked in to our room on the first floor of the schooner building I knew we were in for a rough time. Our ocean view room had a view of the BBQ area where we could not see the ocean but could see people sitting just a few yards from our patio. Zero ambiance, zero privacy. The inconvenience of this room location was compounded by the fact that it was immediately adjacent to the smoking area where people would hang out and talk loudly past quiet hours. I let the staff know about this issue and they told me that I should call for security because security patrols to make sure people are quiet. The next time I tried to call there was no answer. The room itself was run down and dirty. There was missing furniture and many things were broken. The kids sleeping area had no nightstands and the adults room also was missing a night stand. I guess when things break they just aren’t replaced. Getting a good room is the luck of the draw. Additionally, the microwave had definitely been on fire at some point and other than the broken picture frame there were various rust spots and mold spots around the room. I can’t believe how much we paid per night to stay in a room that was in such a state of neglect. My kids did enjoy the pools and waterslide and we all enjoyed beach front access. Additionally the cafe in the pinnacle building was convenient for coffee in the morning. However, the positives are not enough to outweigh the negatives - ESPECIALLY with so many beach front options in Myrtle. On our next trip we will be staying elsewhere.

Would recommend elsewhere Our room was not what we anticipated. It felt more like a motel than a resort. Our room was dirty, torn shower curtain with mold, smelled like rotten fish outside of our room, wet, dirty carpet on the deck with exposed pipes for the air conditioning to drain on the deck, stained mattresses and the shared spaces and elevator were trashy at times. Definitely did not meet my expectations and would not recommend. It definitely was not worth the cost. I'd say the only positives were the proximity to the beach, the size of the room, and checking out. We were able to store our luggage there after check out for a few hours before our flight.

Don't do it Now that my family and I are safe and back home I will leave my thoughts on this place. I understand and see they are trying to make it better but this will take some work. The guy that checked us in personality was so dry. I brushed that off and continued with proceeding to the room. The hallways need renovations the carpet stinks so bad in the halls. We were able to get room 412 in the schooner building which was the very last room to the right on the 4th floor. All day long into maybe about 5 or 6pm there is a ice cream truck that plays music and just sit for a while and that can get very annoying as you can hear it in the room. The upgraded queen room we had with two queen beds had stains on the towels/rags. I could tell it had been washed but if its white and the stains are visible It shouldn't be placed out for the next person. Throw them away! The balcony carpet was stink and old. To the right of the balcony the drainage was broken and you could see where someone taped it as a cheap repair. Well its loose now and bangs up against the building with strong winds. The electrical closet is directly across room 412 so you could hear maintenance im assuming coming in and out all day and all times of the night. They have a really bad ant problem where anytime we ate we didnt eat in the room. See pictures videos for reference. We purchased spray while there just to wipe stuff down and even that didnt help. Still we didnt complain we carried on staying in the room as little as possible. The mattress protector wasnt installed properly so it came off often which was annoying. The icing on the cake is when we were walking to the room Friday evening and a manager saw us doubled back around and knocked on the door. He claim to have smelled a strong substance coming from "our room " reality is WE DONT SMOKE! it was very insulting and when I told him this and told him how technically we could have complained about alot during our time here we didnt! His response was "do you really want to do this?" How insulting! We noticed the smell too when walking down the hall but again we do not smoke! From that point on i looked at this property different. We have stayed before once before I got married and one other time after marriage and then this time and I can officially say we are done! We will stay elsewhere next time.
