Compass Cove, How can we do you? When I checked in I had paid in full through Super.com & was told all that was to be charged was hotel amenities such a room service . When I got here I was charged $107.00 for housekeeping. I told them I don't need housekeeping, and was told I could not drop it. I got to the room & the lights & charger wasn't working. The oceanfront view turned into a view of the side of the Indigo motel and a sliver of the ocean if you sat on the corner of the balcony. The next morning at nine am we were woke by hammers banging & drills drilling so loud that you could not sleep. It stopped after 4 hours. I thought ok, I'll let it pass it's over. Nope, sure as the devil it started again at nine the next morning. I called and was told nothing could be done. They could work on the hotel between 8am & 6pm. So, I asked can you move us to another room? I was told no, none available. The desk was friendly but had a sorry sucks to be you attitude. So If you don't want it to "suck to be you", don't book a stay here.

Neglected Property - buyer beware. Unfortunately, we were fooled by the pictures on the website into thinking this “resort” was freshly renovated and clean. When we arrived and were checked in to our room on the first floor of the schooner building I knew we were in for a rough time. Our ocean view room had a view of the BBQ area where we could not see the ocean but could see people sitting just a few yards from our patio. Zero ambiance, zero privacy. The inconvenience of this room location was compounded by the fact that it was immediately adjacent to the smoking area where people would hang out and talk loudly past quiet hours. I let the staff know about this issue and they told me that I should call for security because security patrols to make sure people are quiet. The next time I tried to call there was no answer. The room itself was run down and dirty. There was missing furniture and many things were broken. The kids sleeping area had no nightstands and the adults room also was missing a night stand. I guess when things break they just aren’t replaced. Getting a good room is the luck of the draw. Additionally, the microwave had definitely been on fire at some point and other than the broken picture frame there were various rust spots and mold spots around the room. I can’t believe how much we paid per night to stay in a room that was in such a state of neglect. My kids did enjoy the pools and waterslide and we all enjoyed beach front access. Additionally the cafe in the pinnacle building was convenient for coffee in the morning. However, the positives are not enough to outweigh the negatives - ESPECIALLY with so many beach front options in Myrtle. On our next trip we will be staying elsewhere.

Another horrible experience. We were in room 238 when water started to come through our ceiling. Called front desk and they sent maintenance to check it out. Went to front desk to talk to a manager and she informed me that she would move my room as soon as housekeeping said one was ready. Well that never happened, and I cleaned up the mess myself, wiping down the ceiling numerous times, and cleaning up the water that dripped. Never was there a concern about us, but hey, they had our money. At checkout I talked to a different manager and she had no knowledge of the situation, horrible communication. I asked to be contacted by someone from corporate, manager said she would pass it on, as of yet no contact. Not the first time we’ve had issues there, almost like you have to kiss ass to spend your money there!!!
