- Parking: Parking is included in the resort fee; limit to (1) vehicle per reservation and (2) for Three-Bedroom Condos. Boats, trailers and other recreational vehicles are not permitted on the property or in parking areas. Over-sized vehicles and trailers may not be accommodated. For multiple or oversized vehicles, please contact the resort before arrival. Assigned parking passes must be present in all vehicles either in front window dash or hanging from the rearview mirror.
- Smoking policy: Smoking is not permitted in guest rooms. A $250 cleaning fee will apply if there is any evidence of smoking in the unit or on the premises which includes the balcony. Please inquire with guest services for designated smoking areas.
- Pet policy: Only ONE dog is allowed per reservation. Cats are not permitted at any time. A non-refundable $25 per day pet fee will be charged to pet-friendly reservations, not to exceed $250 per stay. Dogs must be less than 40 lbs.; Up-To-Date shot records MUST be presented at check-in. All dogs must be registered and issued a Compass Cove identification band. Dog owners must adhere to all Pet Policies. The resort does NOT allow dogs March through October. Compass Marijuana Cove If you want to smell marijuana from sun up to midnight everywhere you go, this is the place for you. Was just out on the balcony with my family, consisting of two kids 7 and 5, and the smell of marijuana is so bad we couldn’t sit outside. I love that my young children are getting the drug talk now instead of later when it would have been appropriate. I couldn’t avoid the “what is that gross smell,” questions 748274892 anymore. In the morning at the pools, in the elevators, in the open spaces within the hotel, and especially wafting into our room and from the balcony it is there all. day. long. I finally called the front desk tonight (night 3) and she said she would call security. The problem is, it’s everywhere all day long, so there’s no way they can even fight it. Don’t come here. UNLESS you love and smoke marijuana. If so, this is your dream oasis.

Very nice, up to date and clean, BUT… Very nice, up to date and clean, BUT it smelled like marijuana. We think the guests next door were smoking it. It smelled REALLY strong in the bathroom and on the balcony. Buy a plug-in air freshener, it will help. Also, the WiFi is VERY slow. Otherwise, would recommend staying here. Nice pools, hot tubs, lazy rivers & beachfront.

Told To NURSE My baby in BATHROOM since room was not ready after Check In Time I will never book this hotel again. We have been waiting hours to check and told that “check in only starts at 4pm and that doesn’t mean that we can actually check in at that time” by the front desk manager. He told us that he can not give us a time of when our room will be clean as they have been working on our specific room for over 2 hours now. (It is past 4pm as I am writing this!!!) I complained that check in was supposed to be at 4pm and we should have been called to let us know something was wrong with our room. I explained that I needed to nurse my baby and was told to NURSE IN THE BATHROOM from the front desk people. I recorded this as it was my 3rd trip up trying to check into my room that was supposed to be ready by 4pm as my reservation states. Nursing Mothers beware! I asked for any other option that we could be given and told that all rooms were being cleaned, again it is already past 4pm when I was told this. I asked to speak to a different manager or even the house cleaning manager to figure out a timeline of when our room would be ready and was told by the Front Desk Manger Alex that there was No One else that I could talk to so I’m am just here well after check in time with no idea of when I will be allowed to go the room I paid for.

Horrible experience I am writing to formally express my deep frustration regarding a duplicate charge issue that I have been attempting to resolve since May 31, 2025. Despite multiple attempts to address this with your front desk staff, there has been a continued lack of clarity and urgency in resolving the matter.
Upon check-in, I was charged for my stay. Initially, my bank declined the transaction due to Compass Cove attempting to authorize my card twice. After confirming with my bank, the payment was processed successfully. However, I later discovered that I was charged twice. I have contacted Compass Cove repeatedly over the past week to have the duplicate charge reversed, yet the issue remains unresolved.
I have been told several times that someone would follow up, most recently being told that staff were "too busy" and would return my call later. While I understand that your team may be experiencing a high number of check ins, I too have obligations, and it is unacceptable that I must continue reaching out with no resolution or accountability.
As a returning guest who has stayed at Compass Cove five times, this experience has been both disappointing and unacceptable. The lack of empathy, communication, and urgency is concerning. If I do not receive a resolution or direct response by the end of the day, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter further, including seeking legal counsel. At this point, it is unclear whether this is a case of internal miscommunication or a larger issue with your payment processing system.
I kindly urge you to take immediate action to review and resolve this situation. I expect the duplicate charge to be reversed without further delay.
