My husband and I came to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and had such a great time! We thoroughly enjoyed all the activities, explored the resort, and even made some new friends. The staff are SO NICE and made our experience all the more enjoyable. Unfortunately, I suffered a medical event there, but the staff was quick to respond and extremely accommodating. They did everything in their power to make the rest of my stay comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

Definitely would come back Old time charm. Decent rooms, stayed in the garden of Eden. Very spacious rooms. Good food with an exceptional variety. Many things to do on the grounds. Friendly staff. Great getaway to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

The end of the dream We have been Cove Haven believers for 15 years. However this last stay for my wife’s birthday and New Year’s Eve was abysmal. We stay at Cove Haven for the room and facilities. Over the years we have seen most of the fun things, like the ice skating ring, indoor mini golf and hot tubs. Out stay was not worth 1200.00 of my hard earned cash. The in room pool was cold. I. Noticed this at our last stay as well. I called the front desk and ask one of the friendly facilities staff to help. Not sure if the pool got warmer or the pool room did but we were able to enjoy the room pool for a bit. It still wasn’t warm enough though. The old heater in the bathroom was broken. We stayed in January and using the bathroom and shower was a cold and uncomfortable. It snowed during our stay and none of the walkways were we stayed were cleared. Whoever had previously ‘plowed’ the parking lot left a huge mound of ice and snow directly where one would get out of the car. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Plus when leaving down the hill, the road was not plowed. Heading up the hill to exit, cars were stuck on the hill. On to the hot tub and indoor pool. We love the hot tub. We always go to the hot tub. But this time the HOT tub was cold. We were so disappointed. The indoor pool was COLD. I have been unfortunately opting out of any meals for the last few years. It would be nice to not have to leave the property for meals but it has become necessary. I remember Lena’s in Honesdale for breakfast. Since this was a holiday I was told that I could. It opt out of New Years Eve Dinner. Ok. We planned on going somewhere else for that dinner since it was my wife’s birthday but she said let’s give it a shot. I noted to myself that she was entirely too optimistic but when in Rome. We waited about 15 minute to be seated. We waited another 15 minutes or so for someone to come to our table. Our waitress and I use this term loosely literally grimaced in pain and grunted while forcing a smile. Not a welcome. Not a happy new year. She took our order. We waited about 20 minutes and no water, bread or soda. I asked a person cleaning a table for help. He look surprised and we received our bread and water. My wife orders soup. Which never came. Thank god for the meager sale bar which saved us from going to bed without eating. Oh we waited a total of one and half hours for our entrees that never came. I had had enough and my wife and I got up to leave. The waitress sees us leaving and grunts that she had our dinner. Too late. Nice employee who told us she was a manager listed to our tale of woe but turned both of us off with ‘in all due fairness to the waitress another staff member called in and she had a lot of tables.” Hey, that’s not my problem. That’s yours. A leader should roll up their sleeves and help out. She offered to pay for any drinks we may have had (we don’t because they are overpriced) or box up our dinner. No thanks. We tried breakfast once and it was awful. The only thing that is worth eating is the boxed cereal or the waffles or pancakes you have to make yourself. And since that’s really the only edible food, you have to wait on a line to make them. Please fix this disaster.
