Relaxing, clean mini getaway We recently stayed at unit 308 at Crystal Palm. It was a great experience, the unit was very nice and clean, and spacious. I’m very particular with the beddings, and it was nicely dressed and neat. The kitchen had everything we needed to use for a few days. The view was very relaxing and yet rowdy enough for the beach city vibe. It was close to a lot of nice restaurants with walking distance. The park was very convenient for us a family. We look forward to staying here again.

Treasure Island, FL: Where Golden Shores Echo Old Florida’s Charm

Nestled along Florida’s sun-drenched Gulf Coast, Treasure Island is a coastal gem that blends nostalgic Americana with the timeless allure of sugar-white sands. Named after a 20th-century marketing legend involving buried treasure chests, the island’s name evokes curiosity—and its scenery delivers on the promise. Stretching across three miles of pristine shoreline, this barrier island offers an inviting mix of turquoise waters, laid-back beach culture, and family-friendly boardwalks. The storied Sunset Beach area retains its bohemian spirit with vibrant cottages and beach bars, while the central strip buzzes with the rhythm of vacationers and locals drawn by the call of the sea.

Rooted in the heritage of post-war Florida tourism, Treasure Island stands today as a proud emblem of Old Florida’s enduring magnetism. The island flourished in the 1950s as motels, tiki lounges, and beach resorts began to dot its shores—many of which remain lovingly preserved, offering a glimpse into the golden era of coastal leisure. Its wide beaches, ideal for sandcastle building and shelling, provide the perfect canvas for slow sunsets and spontaneous celebrations. From the storied John's Pass Village nearby to its charming causeway drives and fishing piers, Treasure Island invites every traveler to step into a living chapter of Florida’s rich maritime legacy.

Would not stay here until a full refurbishment has been carried out We stayed at the apartments at the end of April at the Crystal Palms Beach Resort, Treasure Island. Three adults at 507 and two adults and two children at 407. We were looking forward to a relaxing stay near the beach after a wonderful stay at a villa at Windsor Hills, Kissimmee. But on arrival the words shock and disappointment were our reaction. Both suites were in need of a deep clean, the floors of both apartments are really dirty and walking in the apartments immediately leaves your feet or socks black. The skirting boards are dirty and dusty and look as if they have not been cleaned for some time. The crockery items in 507 are cracked and mismatched and cutlery items were missing, there were only two metal forks for three persons and we used plastic forks from restaurants we had visited. Inside the oven in Suite 507 was greasy and dirty, so much so that we felt unable to use it. In 507 the bath mat was ripped and in tatters and really should have been replaced prior to our arrival. In 407 the fridge door handle was missing and there were no curtains only blinds in the bedrooms which did not fit correctly and let light in. In addition the smaller bedroom light in 407 kept coming on sporadically during the night disturbing sleep. There was nobody on site to report these issues to and since we were only there for one week we decided to make the best of our stay. Also both two bedroom apartments had double beds, ok for 3 adults, but that meant that our two grandsons, 12 and 10 had to share a bed, as there was no bed linen for the pull out in the lounge, which we wouldn’t have used anyway due to its condition. Have emailed the Website and CEO raising these issues and requesting a partial refund for the daily resort fee, no response received despite repeated follow ups. These apartments could be so much better with relatively little work and would turn our stay from being disappointing to a fantastic one.

Dirty, unkempt, unit 308, check the photos, 3/2025 There were live cockroaches, and filth was present throughout the entire unit. We stayed at Crystal Palms a few years back, and it was pretty nice. Now, it is really bad. Condo unit 308 has not been cleaned appropriately for years. We complained, but no concessions were made. Parking is a fiasco. Someone parked in our spot, and the PM's office said we would be towed. After 1.5 hours of going downstairs, trying to find the people who parked in our spot accidentally and calling, etc., we were instructed to park in a generic spot.

Dirty, filthy and disgusting hotel that was in need of a remodel 15 years ago We started staying here about 20 years ago and this place was a very nice place to stay back then. Unfortunately the past several stays are showing the lack of upkeep on this property. The beds and furniture are terrible and in need of replacing. The rooms look like they are never cleaned (as noted by the house keepers wanted sign posted outside the hotel). And there is nobody there to check you in when you arrive (an attempt to save a few $ I have no doubt). Even the soap and shampoo they provide are junk. Unfortunately each condo is individually own and there are no standards for keeping them up to date. There was terrible mold growth in the shower (room 402). Spend the extra money and stay at the Marriot Residence Inn across the street (and on the beach) as it's newly remodeled and a wonderful hotel. It's really a shame since the building is very unique and has wonderful architecture on the outside.

3 time, and still love it _ Our 3 visit at Crystal Palms. We love the location close to the beach and spacious apartments. Quick check in. We could use the gym at a nearby hotel free of charge. If there is anything negative, it would be the traffic noise. We would love to come back on our next vacation.
