My family had a great time! Spacious room, pool was fun, convenient location. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast buffet. It did take 3 hours to get extra towels for showering, but they were pretty booked with spring breakers so I get it. Well worth the price and we'd book here again.

Waltham, Massachusetts: Hub of Higher Education and Technology Just North of Boston

Dating back to the early 19th century, Waltham has been at the center of Greater Boston’s industry and labor movements. It earned the nickname “Watch City” after the Waltham Watch Company—the first business to make timepieces on an assembly line—opened its factory here in 1854. You can learn about that time-keeping heritage at the city's Waltham Watch Factory museum; today, however, this city on the Charles River is best known as a hotbed of research and higher education. Several technology companies, including Raytheon, are headquartered here, and it’s also home to Brandeis University and Bentley University. On the weekends, you’ll find scores of students packed into the breweries and restaurants on Moody Street downtown.

The best thing about this place was the staff! They were all extremely kind and helpful. I sincerely apologize to the worker at the front desk regarding a receipt for the deposit!! I was extremely overstimulated from my children’s constant nagging. Please forgive me! Other than that food, drinks, pool, guests were all amazing! Thank you for a wonderful experience. Will return and highly recommend.

Smelly Rooms This is by far the worst Embassy Suites that we’ve ever stayed at - and we’ve stayed at several. The hotel is very ran down. The lobby and bar/restaurant area is fine but the rooms are awful. We had two adjoining rooms- one reeked of stale cigarette smoke and the other one smelled like mold and mildew. The chairs in the living room areas were filthy on the arms. We asked to move rooms but they couldn’t accommodate us. When I explained the smell issues with the rooms to the front desk , he literally rolled his eyes at me. We were with a group of 20 other people and everyone had the same complaints about dirty, smelly rooms. The bathrooms had water damage on the baseboards, peeling wallpaper at the bottom of the wall from being wet and the bottom of the door was swollen from the water damage and the paint was peeling off the door. The beds were well used with sinking spots in the mattresses. We ended up checking out a day early because we couldn’t stand the smell of our rooms. 2 of the 3 elevators were in working order, yet they would stop on random floors and sometimes the wait for an elevator was excessive. The breakfast was good and the location was too, but that did not make up for the disgustingness of the rooms! This hotel needs a major renovation!

Five min read on how to save time and money Where to begin. Please don’t be fooled by the enhanced photos online and the reviews boasting its cleanliness. Clearly covid hasn’t taught people the meaning of “clean”. This hotel was such a disappointment to the Hilton brand. I’ve stayed at Embassy Suites before but this compares to a Howard Johnson from the 90’s. The lobby itself is decent until you notice how it the sofas all have visible dirt embedded on them and haven’t been cleaned and maintained. Cost cutting. Moving along. The first room we checked into had hair on the toilet and poop in the toilet. The lampshades were wonky and visibly begging to be replaced. We complained to the manager and were given another room. Thankfully with a clean toilet. The walls had stains all over them, and the lampshades situation was consistent with the room prior. Cohesive. The room was depressing. Poorly made beds, furniture beat up. I woke up counting the days until departure. Breakfast was a joke. Sloppy, cafeteria style. Grab your own utensils, napkins, and figure it out as you go. No one was really asking any of the guests if they need anything I had to go and find someone to ask for an iced coffee only to be I was told they didn’t have any. The gift shop was selling the Starbucks bottles for 9 dollars. Not happening. I went to get hot coffee and asked for creamer, they didn’t have that either and said they might the next day. At that point I was over it. We went to the front desk, paid the bill for our stay and left. We stayed a total of 10 hours max out of the intended 3 night stay. Checked into a Marriott property and didn’t have any regrets at all. The end.

Excellence all around! Wonderful experience. We had two nights, two breakfasts, and two dinners. Our waiter was amazing! He noticed that I was stealing the lime from my husband's cocktail to put in my ginger ale, so when he refilled my ginger ale, he brought me a plate of limes. I was really touched. Had a couple of great conversations with Greg Piper, he helped us with my points balance, and helped us set up a family vacation in NYC. My husband is usually grumpy at these things, but he is still raving about Greg! And the food!
