My family had a great time! Spacious room, pool was fun, convenient location. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast buffet. It did take 3 hours to get extra towels for showering, but they were pretty booked with spring breakers so I get it. Well worth the price and we'd book here again.

Waltham, Massachusetts: Hub of Higher Education and Technology Just North of Boston

Dating back to the early 19th century, Waltham has been at the center of Greater Boston’s industry and labor movements. It earned the nickname “Watch City” after the Waltham Watch Company—the first business to make timepieces on an assembly line—opened its factory here in 1854. You can learn about that time-keeping heritage at the city's Waltham Watch Factory museum; today, however, this city on the Charles River is best known as a hotbed of research and higher education. Several technology companies, including Raytheon, are headquartered here, and it’s also home to Brandeis University and Bentley University. On the weekends, you’ll find scores of students packed into the breweries and restaurants on Moody Street downtown.

The best thing about this place was the staff! They were all extremely kind and helpful. I sincerely apologize to the worker at the front desk regarding a receipt for the deposit!! I was extremely overstimulated from my children’s constant nagging. Please forgive me! Other than that food, drinks, pool, guests were all amazing! Thank you for a wonderful experience. Will return and highly recommend.

Do Not Stay Here! YOU WILL REGRET IT. The Hotel is Disgisting! I've been here less than twenty four hours, and I don't even know where to begin. I guess I should start with having dinner in the restaurant downstairs. The food was okay and I paid the check and we went upstairs. So I fell asleep around 11 PM after a 6 hour drvie from NYC that should have taken 3.5. I fall asleep and the room phone rings. Apparently the waiter had given me the wrong check, which I had already paid. There were 3 tables, and he gave me the wrong check. Fine, it happens. He wanted me to come down and take care of it right then and there. Seriously? Strike one. I told him to leave it with the front desk and I would deal in the morning. So we get into bed, and the pillows reek of cheap perfume, which wasn't mine, since I don't wear perfume, or was it my wife's. They hadn't changed the linens from the last guest. Ew, right? So in the morning I went down to the front desk and asked to please make sure they changed the linens. I also asked the head of housekeeping as well. Just to make sure I made a couple of small pen marks on the inside of a couple of pillows and in a corner of the sheet. So we went out for the day and came back to what appeared to be a clean room. Housekeeping cleaned the room, but didn't change the linens, again. The pen marks were still there! (See pictures) Finally I complained to the front desk, again. And the Hilton Honors rep on site. Finally they sent some guy to change the linens, which he did, but he took all the pillows. Now we have clean sheets, but no pillows...

If clean room is important - this is not the place for you If having a clean room is important, this is not the hotel for you. From the “mystery” pube in the bathtub/shower to the oily fingerprints on the top of the headboard, to the drippy substance on the bedroom wall, this room was a forensics nightmare. The grout on the tile that was supposed to be beige, was mostly black. One of the poles to draw the drapes was broken off and propped up in the corner. Service was kind and attentive despite the long hours the employees appear to work.

Lots of maintenance issues, bad communication Upon check-in, we were told that there were no rooms available of the type that we reserved, because the rooms were "on maintenance holds". That should have been a sign to run, but, unfortunately, it was a non-refundable reservation. They did instead get us two rooms, but of the wrong type, at no extra charge, so thanks to the staff for that. Although we did have to move rooms during the stay because of that. Unfortunately, the maintenance issues continued. In the first room (room 822), the tub didn’t drain, the sheer window curtain was shredded (not just torn, shredded), the TV remote didn't work (it was so old the batteries had leaked), many of the Power / USB in the furniture doesn't work (I fixed one by moving the furniture around and plugging it in), and the windows are FILTHY. For the second room (room 521), one bulb was out in the bathroom, there is rust on the bathroom hinges, the undercounter light was broken, and much of the wallpaper is peeling. I would not recommend staying at this hotel until these issues are resolved. Communication is lacking. I had emailed the hotel manager with my concerns before posting this, to see if there are any mitigating circumstances, but never heard back. The hotel staff did not do a good job reducing interference from Conference attendees. Conference attendees are always a bit of an inconvenience to others, but there are steps good hotels take to make them less of an inconvenience. For example, open the conference space for the kids to play in; with the large atrium, everyone could hear the kids screaming until past 10:00. Which I don’t begrudge the kids with the genetic syndrome a chance to play with similar kids, having screaming kids past 10:00 is not reasonable to other guests. Good hotels offer some breakfast in the conference space just for the attendees, so the line for the omelette isn’t 12 people deep. The place in general needs to do better with the noise level in the atrium late at night, we could hear people downstairs talking until past 1:00 AM. The “Welcome Snack” was pitiful. I was embarrassed for the hotel when I saw it. Not much more than a bowl of goldfish and pita chips.
