Hotel at a Glance: Excalibur Hotel & Casino

It may look like a castle, but Excalibur Hotel & Casino isn't quite a step back in medieval times—it's got a sprawling casino flickering with countless slot machines and table games. Numerous entertainment venues host a variety of shows, games, and music for all ages. Get down to the disco-fevered Australian Bee Gees, cheer on a medieval Tournament of Kings (may be temporarily unavailable), or watch the men of Thunder From Down Under shake it. The hotel's eclectic dining options include Dick’s Last Resort, Buca di Beppo, and TAP Sports Bar at Excalibur, as well as a food court.

  • See jousting matches and dancing maidens at Tournament of Kings, a three-course dinner show (may be temporarily unavailable).
  • Dining options: There are numerous onsite restaurants and a massive food court.
  • Hearty eats can be found at Dick's Last Resort, such as ribs and wings and burgers. They're all served up by friendly, wisecracking wait staff.
  • Fun for the whole family: Little ones can play arcade games while savoring Dairy Queen Blizzards.
  • Experience your favorite: Hollywood blockbusters in a brand-new, mind-blowing way at Excalibur's Ultimate 4-D Experience.

The Las Vegas Strip: 24/7 Entertainment and Fine Dining

With an almost unlimited variety of casinos, bars and nightclubs, and live entertainment, the general consensus along the Las Vegas Strip seems to be “go big or go home.” And you can go really big here. Make a beeline for the dozens of 24-hour casinos lining the neon-lit Strip to tango with Lady Luck in high-stakes games of roulette, blackjack, and poker; or grab a front-row seat to the city’s over-the-top glitz at nightly magic, acrobatic, and musical performances.

Even Sin City isn’t all casinos, all the time. Go shopping at the high-end boutiques found inside most hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, or head to Fashion Show Las Vegas to browse racks at Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, and Saks Fifth Avenue. You can also virtually travel the globe in just a few city blocks, thanks to the Strip’s re-creation of the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, and Venetian canals. And you’ll find a surprising number of activities in Las Vegas for kids hidden amid the raucous nightlife.

Weird pre-stay charges and unresponsive hotel I don't t know what the experience of staying at this hotel is like, but something weird/scammy happened right after I booked and so I thought I'd write my review to warn others. I booked at Excelsior for a trip in April 2026. The moment I booked, I started getting emails from the hotel asking if I wanted connecting rooms with someone else for $20 plus tax (this was a solo trip). I said no and they did not reply. Instead, they started trying to charge my card, which I found very unusual. I am a frequent traveler and this was a refundable booking.com reservation for a trip that would take place the following year, and I was never informed when I made the booking that the hotel would charge me anything sooner. So I started getting a bunch of failed attempts to charge my card $114 with no other description than "exc - adv dep", which I imagine must have meant "Excalibur - advance deposit". Thankfully, my bank blocked these charges because there were so many of them, flagging them as a security issue. I then got an email from booking that asked me to update my card because the hotel said it was "not valid". I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, in case this was simply an advance payment for my (refundable!) reservation, so I updated the booking with another card, and I got that email from booking again saying that this card was "not valid" too - I didn't get any communication from my bank about failed attempts to charge me, so I don't know how they decided that it wasn't valid. I then updated it again with a card in USD, and the same thing happened. Throughout all this (which happened over the course of 3 days), I had sent the hotel multiple emails that were all completely ignored. So at the third card that they deemed "not valid" is when I decided to cancel my reservation. At this point, I'm thankful Excalibur wasn't able to charge me, because it all felt very scammy to me. I can't know for sure if this is simply a matter of poor communication (them not informing me of how they would charge me when I booked + the complete lack of response to my emails), combined with a way of charging cards that doesn't sit well with international card perhaps, or if it was an attempt to get money from me that I would never see again. I haven't stayed at this hotel, so I can't know what the experience would have been like. But this lack of transparency and response raised a huge red flag for me, on top of the extra stress of this whole experience, and if I were you, I would stay elsewhere.
