Hotel at a Glance: Excalibur Hotel & Casino

It may look like a castle, but Excalibur Hotel & Casino isn't quite a step back in medieval times—it's got a sprawling casino flickering with countless slot machines and table games. Numerous entertainment venues host a variety of shows, games, and music for all ages. Get down to the disco-fevered Australian Bee Gees, cheer on a medieval Tournament of Kings (may be temporarily unavailable), or watch the men of Thunder From Down Under shake it. The hotel's eclectic dining options include Dick’s Last Resort, Buca di Beppo, and TAP Sports Bar at Excalibur, as well as a food court.

  • See jousting matches and dancing maidens at Tournament of Kings, a three-course dinner show (may be temporarily unavailable).
  • Dining options: There are numerous onsite restaurants and a massive food court.
  • Hearty eats can be found at Dick's Last Resort, such as ribs and wings and burgers. They're all served up by friendly, wisecracking wait staff.
  • Fun for the whole family: Little ones can play arcade games while savoring Dairy Queen Blizzards.

The Las Vegas Strip: 24/7 Entertainment and Fine Dining

With an almost unlimited variety of casinos, bars and nightclubs, and live entertainment, the general consensus along the Las Vegas Strip seems to be “go big or go home.” And you can go really big here. Make a beeline for the dozens of 24-hour casinos lining the neon-lit Strip to tango with Lady Luck in high-stakes games of roulette, blackjack, and poker; or grab a front-row seat to the city’s over-the-top glitz at nightly magic, acrobatic, and musical performances.

Even Sin City isn’t all casinos, all the time. Go shopping at the high-end boutiques found inside most hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, or head to Fashion Show Las Vegas to browse racks at Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, and Saks Fifth Avenue. You can also virtually travel the globe in just a few city blocks, thanks to the Strip’s re-creation of the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, and Venetian canals. And you’ll find a surprising number of activities in Las Vegas for kids hidden amid the raucous nightlife.

No humans will assist you I asked two people when I got there for help with issues with the app and my room reservation. Both of them told me to go to the kiosk. The kiosk didn’t help. The human then came up, confirmed my phone number and told me I’d get a text with info about my room and when I went to ask about additional questions they walked away. I stood alone by the kiosk and reset up the app and created a new user etc to be able to get the info for my room number that the person wouldn’t tell me. I had to figure it all out awkwardly with Excalibur employees with tablets wandering around refusing to talk to people. I set up the account, finally, made keys and got into my hotel room all before the text I was told to wait for with my room number came through. I wasn’t told what to do about the prepaid parking, I was turned away when I asked, and I upgraded my room which removed the early checkout so it seemed the prepaid parking was removed as well with the room change. Nope. I was charged on my room bill but ALSO I paid in the lot. The really frustrating thing is I tried to check the room summary before I left to make sure it wasn’t there and the tentative room charges didn’t show parking charges. When the FINAL bill came through it showed the parking charge. When I called about it they said someone should have told me to use the QR code and I told them I tried to ask but no one would talk to me they just directed me to kiosks and told me to wait and the woman just went, “yeah… that’s usually what happens.” It’s not just checking in, I asked an employee how to get to the Luxor later that day, he grunted and angrily threw his arm back pointing at the stairs. The only people that want to talk to you are the time share people that stalk you as you walk by in the the lobby. In the the room, the furniture’s fake wood coating was curling, the TVs were all fuzzy/scrambled and there is no guide, we had two phones, neither worked, no modern plugs for electronics and when you washed your hands you could hear the pipes backing up under the shower. It. Was. Terrible.

Used to be a great Hotel. Check in was bad. Rooms not ready. Even a lot of the help admitted that the quality has gone done hill. If you are a Platinum or above forget staying here. I love MGM but the Excaliber has gone the way of the Luxor. Stay away.

Great value and location Great location as we went to see a hockey game and Paul McCartney concert. Both venues were within walking distance from hotel. Easy check in on phone app. Spent some time in Sportsbook for horse races and college football bets. Sportsbook is big enough to accommodate the big crowds for football. All-in-all a great value for you money.
