Well located hotel My husband and I stayed at this Fairfield Inn last week while on a cycling trip on the GAP Trail. The hotel is ideally located if you are riding the trail from Pittsburgh and are starting at Point State Park. We also walked across the bridge to the Incline and had dinner at the Grand Concourse, both within easy walking distance. We found our room to be quite small, but it met our needs. The hotel staff was very friendly, and the free breakfast had a lot of choices. The hotel lobby definitely did not look like the photos online, but I was able to read in the breakfast room.

No Security! I spent 6 nights in this hotel, which is in downtown Pittsburgh. I was very distressed by the total lack of security. The hotel is on a main street, but there is minimal foot traffic. However, there is a homeless encampment a very short distance away. The front door is about 20 yards from the readily accessible elevator, where a room key is not needed to reach the rooms. There was rarely any hotel employee at the valet stand or the front desk, unless it was early in the morning.

WORST POSSIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER IN 40 YEARS TRAVELLING. Booked in May for September birthday to first Steelers home game. Travelled 3 flights and two trains to get here, 14,000+ kms. Arrived and they had sold the room to someone else. No call, no email, nothing. Pittsburgh totally sold out. Tried to kick us out instead of allowing us to sit in the lobby and find an alternative- don’t bother to help! Rude, unhelpful, disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE.
