Commendation for Exceptional Service: Our Anniversary Stay at Fairmont Mayakoba Fairmont Mayakoba went above and beyond to commemorate our wedding anniversary. From the thoughtful surprises to the generous upgrades, the team made us feel truly celebrated from the moment we arrived. The property is breathtaking, and we particularly enjoyed the seamless experience of the golf cart shuttles and the immersive nature of the resort. A true highlight of our trip was the Eco-Boat Tour. It was fascinating to see the local wildlife in their natural habitat—spotting Mexican crocodiles, turtles, and an array of exotic birds through the canals was a memory we will cherish. Furthermore, the culinary offerings were outstanding; we can confidently say the food at Mayakoba is the best we have ever had in the region. While the facilities are world-class, it is your staff that makes the Fairmont experience legendary. We would like to recognize the following individuals for their exemplary service: • Alonso (Mayakoba Service): For his impeccable coordination and assistance with getting us to our dinner reservations as well as taking our photos. • Alfonso (Bellman): For his warm hospitality throughout our stay. • Eva (Housekeeping): For her meticulous care and attention to detail in our room and thoughtful touch of leaving personalized notes for us. • Leonardo (Waiter at Gaia): For providing an extraordinary dining experience. • Oscar (Boat Tour): For his incredible knowledge and for making our wildlife sightings so special. • Roberto (Pool Attendant): For his proactive service and for ensuring our relaxation was uninterrupted (we exclusively stayed at the lagoon pool for this reason). Because of the high standard of care we received, Fairmont will now be our exclusive choice when visiting the Cancun area. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Fairmont exceeds expectations! The Fairmont Mayakoba exceeds expectations. that place was a dream come true. All my wishes were granted as I shared the Mayakoba experience with my family and extended family. What a special treat!! Every meal was fantastic, each restaurant offering their specialty menus and curated settings. A quote I heard nightly was “no bad bites!”. The service in every single department was over the top. Our butler Daniel was so attentive, checking on us in person daily! He found us at the beach to make sure our needs were being met, and his job was made easy as our needs were always attended to thanks to the incredible beach staff, Jose and Alejandro! The boat ride with Gabrial was so pleasant and informative! We enjoyed it so much we all wanted to do it again!. We watched the sunrise while sitting on the beach several mornings. The rooms are in such great condition, high quality beds, bedding and soft goods. The bathrooms were stocked with quality toiletries. The public spaces are maintained to the highest standards. The gym has the best quality machines and that space is maintained meticulously. Special shout out to Jesus the golf cart driver, he added some hilarious energy on our morning ride from the beach to breakfast! I really can’t say enough good things about Fairmont Mayakoba. I went in with high expectations and the entire family left hoping we will be back!

NOT FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE! The grounds are beautiful, the service, which was very attentive, couldn't have been better.. I didn't care for family plan meals (but maybe that was because I am not accustomed to Mexican food) although breakfast was fine because of many choices and I did like the guacamole. HOWEVER, NO HAND RAILS!!! The main entrance to the beach (which was located at a major building) required walking down three sets of three to four steps each to reach the sand. Walls on either side of steps were low so not available to balance against or hold on to. My husband and I walked down one step at a time, with trepidation, often with the kind assistance of other vacationers. A resort for people with young children, of which there were many, including delightful members of my own family.

Dinner at Gaia The food was amazing. The highlight was out server Leonardo. His recommendations were spot on, he was extremely knowledgeable about our wine selection, and generally went above and beyond. We would absolutely make a point to make a reservation here again.

Didnt live up to the hype This hotel came highly reccomended. I was really dissapointed. Ill start with the good , food is very good we loved the breakfast buffet. Nice touches they serve complimentary baked good and coffee while waiting. Our favorite restaurants were Tauro , Casa Azul at the Rosewood and Italian Casa del lago. The staff everywhere were friendly and accomadating. The bad - this property is in desperate need of a refresh reno. The first room we were given reeked of mold. The second didnt smell but the screen window in bathroom was broken and banged and made noise all night. The deck was about a month away from falling apartloose floor boards , I wouldnt even go on it. The pool/ beach towels were all falling apart with rips and stains. Pool at main area had palapas that were falling apart also. Overall I think you would do better at another hotel for the same or better price.
