Another Amazing Stay! Another wonderful visit to the Fairmont Mayakoba! This time we used our suite night upgrades plus a bit of a splurge to stay in a beach area casita suite with rooftop terrace. This room was absolutely amazing and we spent every day up on the roof enjoying the tranquility and of course the plunge pool. We would highly recommend this suite! On top of the room being perfection, so was our Butler Team of Fernanda and Javier. These two individuals helped to make this stay (our sixth) the very best ever. The check-ins, the water deliveries, the dinner arrangements and the rides whenever we needed one were very much appreciated. These two delivered a top-notch experience and should be commended for a job well done. We also experienced amazing service from Emilio at Hix Bar (always always always THE BEST!!) and both Ulises and German at Tauro made sure that we were very well taken care of. We made a point of going to Tauro early so we could have a cocktail at the martini bar and honestly this bar is the best kept secret on the whole resort. And Ulises makes the best martinis!! German was a repeat server for us and even recognized us from our visit a year ago and once again made our experience memorable. We also dined at Laguna and enjoyed the service of Israel and the meal and ambience here make this a very special place. I have to provide some honest feedback and Bassano could benefit from some improvements, both food and experience wise. Very loud inside the restaurant and maybe adding little touches like table cloths or some light “upscale” elements would help to improve. That being said, Eduardo Sanchez, the restaurant manager was absolutely excellent at addressing our concerns and was simply put, a wonderful and genuine human being to interact with. He is a very welcome addition to the resort and we look forward to seeing him again on our next visit. Thank you to the whole team for a superb stay and while we are sad to be leaving today, we cannot wait to come back!
