Awesome experience. Must report that server Mina at the bar nearest our room 2069 was amazing. She is so sweet and made us feel like family. Hotel should do all they can to keep her. The only negative or suggestion that I would say was there was no mircowave in the room. For the pricing it should be included. Everything else was wonderful. Thank you.

5 Star Experience. Here for conference and stayed in enormous ‘Privado’ wing suite. Check-in was fast and easy. Suite was very thoughtfully designed: living room had desk, couch, working gas fireplace, coffee/espresso maker, hot water pot for tea, refrigerator. Bedroom & bed comfortable, and quiet: slept like a baby. Bathroom was very large with spacious walk in shower. Everything worked. Staff are terrific. You get your steps in walking the large property, or can take one of the many roving golf carts offering rides to guests. Conference facilities were first rate and food was fine. We had a good dinner at Toro restaurant, accessible by shuttle. Checkout was fast. They did put a mistaken minibar charge for 2 Cokes on my bill, but reversed it when I called.

Back for more! We booked one of the larger rooms in the Privado area, which did exist before; however, they've remodeled the units and added the private entry and building. Really enjoyed our 'villa,' proximity to everything at the property, and to the Privado building itself, where you can grab little snacks (think trail mix, cookies, meat/cheese/crackers depending on time of day), coffee, pop, or water complimentary, wine for a price. Our favorite pool is still the Privado pool and they've stepped-up the furniture that's in the area now, though they never did light either of the firepits any night that we were there. This pool is smaller, but hidden and meant to be exclusive to those in the Privado area. The other pools are slammed, particularly with families and kids. We did have an adjoining door on our villa, which isn't ideal, though I'm not sure if they're available without. The first couple of days there was a family on the other side of that door with little kids and they'd all SCREAM in the mornings, which was so terrible. Thankfully new guests moved-in for the second half of the week that were far more respectful with the volume of their voices. We also visited the spa, Privado guests get access to the entire spa (steam room, sauna, lavender-scented room, hot tub, and cold plunge), plus the rooftop pool and gym (classes daily that are great), so that was really fantastic. Facial was tremendous, highly recommend. Service overall at the resort is top-notch, every employee we encountered was friendly and kind. Only had one run-in at the Thanksgiving brunch where our server tried to get one over on us with the tip (attempted to get a double tip by not including it on the original receipt, so we had to ask to get it corrected), but the spread was phenomenal. Had lunch at Toro, which is right on the TPC course (short shuttle ride away) and highly recommend going over there. All the food was amazing, the atmosphere is really cool, and so fun to see that view of the course with all the stadium seating going up!

Worst resort stay in my life I’m writing to share our experience because our recent stay at this resort was far from relaxing and nowhere near the standard we expected from a Fairmont property. When we checked in, the bellman told us the only restaurant open was serving until 5pm. After a long day of travel, we rushed over—only to learn they had actually closed at 3pm. We ended up eating pool bar food just to get something in our system. Once we finally got to our room, we tried to put our toddler down for a much-needed nap, but extremely loud music was blasting from outside. We called the front desk multiple times with no answer and even emailed the concierge because the noise was preventing our son from sleeping. At the same time, our AC wasn’t working, and repeated calls for help went unanswered. After several failed attempts to get our son to sleep, we had to give up and rush to dinner. Dinner at La Hacienda was another disappointment. They do not make any modifications, and the meats are all heavily pre-seasoned—either extremely salty or spicy. The chef even refused to butterfly a filet. After sending back two meals, the only things we could actually eat were rice and chips. This is definitely not a family-friendly restaurant and not a place I’d recommend for anyone with dietary needs, kids, or simply wanting a relaxing meal. On top of all this, the resort is hosting a massive holiday event. If you’re looking for peace or rest, this is not the place. The front desk assured us the music would end at 10pm, but it continued far beyond that night after night. It honestly felt like trying to sleep in the middle of a rave, times a hundred. They described it as “Disneyland in the desert,” and that’s exactly what it felt like. We had no idea what we were walking into. Meanwhile, our AC issue continued for almost three days. It would randomly turn on and off, blowing hot or cold air on its own, and the constant temperature swings eventually got me sick. After more than 17 attempts, unanswered calls, and multiple “We’ll call you back” promises that never happened, it was finally confirmed that the AC didn’t work. Our parents’ AC was fixed sooner, but when they eventually moved us to another room, it ended up being in an even louder part of the resort. Our spa visit was also disappointing. During my facial, the esthetician’s hands smelled strongly of garlic—even through her gloves. She mentioned she had been chopping garlic earlier, which was distracting and completely out of place for a luxury spa experience. Between the noise, misinformation, lack of sleep, broken AC, unresponsive staff, disappointing dining, and the spa incident, this trip fell far below expectations. The repeated “How can we make it better?” lines felt scripted because nothing actually improved. There were several more issues, but the bottom line is simple: If you’re looking for relaxation, this is not the resort for you—especially during the holiday event season. Visit for the lights at night if you’re curious, but stay elsewhere if you value rest, quiet, reliability, or even basic follow-through. Looking back, the disorganization, lack of communication, and constant misinformation should’ve been my first red flag that this resort just didn’t have its systems—or its guest experience—together.
