The Las Vegas Strip: 24/7 Entertainment and Fine Dining

With an almost unlimited variety of casinos, bars and nightclubs, and live entertainment, the general consensus along the Las Vegas Strip seems to be “go big or go home.” And you can go really big here. Make a beeline for the dozens of 24-hour casinos lining the neon-lit Strip to tango with Lady Luck in high-stakes games of roulette, blackjack, and poker; or grab a front-row seat to the city’s over-the-top glitz at nightly magic, acrobatic, and musical performances. Be sure to stick around for mealtimes—casinos on the Strip are known for their fine-dining restaurants.

Even Sin City isn’t all casinos, all the time. Go shopping at the high-end boutiques found inside most hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. Head to LINQ Promenade for a shopping and dining experience, then ride atop the High Roller observation wheel. Thanks to the strip’s re-creation of the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas and the Roman Empire at Caesars Palace, you can virtually travel the globe in just a few city blocks. And you’ll find a surprising number of activities in Las Vegas for kids hidden amid the raucous nightlife.

Honestly, it's one of the cleanest hotels i have stayed in! Skip the kiosks, though & go straight to the counter to check in. The kiosk told me my room wasn't ready, but 45 min (& no email) later, we went to the counter & our room was ready.

Seriously ... What's with all the Pot Smoking on Hotel Grounds? I get that it's legal in Nevada as it is in my home Province ... but outside of the Nook ( food court area) and in the Gardens area people alone or in large groups openly smoking and passing around day / night ... Not Cool ! .... Ben Siegel would not have put up with that for second ! Clean it up! Low class guys... would expect that off of Freemont Street... Not in the middle of the strip!

Good but the Vegas gouge is alive and well We booked a Fab Premium Room at the Flamingo from 1-7 Nov. We arrived at noon on the first to be told that early check-in was an additional $69 and that our rooms were in the old tower and they recommended an upgrade to a 750 sqft suite for an addl $51/nite. So I did upgrade and pay the early check-in fee. The upgrade room was very tired and in need of an upgrade. It was essentially a room with an outer room with a couch/loveseat with an extra 1/2 bathroom. Essentially 2 tired rooms together. The metal drain cover in the master room shower was rusted. The view of the LINQ ferris wheel and sphere was very nice but the room was not worth the $300+ per nite. We also paid $50+ per nite in resort fees but yet they still requested us to pay additional rent for lounges at the pool which I thought was ridiculous. We passed. We decided to have a dinner at their ultra pricey restaurant called Bugsy & Meyers and while the food was very good they requested extra for my request for A1 steak sauce for my filet mignon. I also passed on the A1. Very good but not worth the $200 price for my wife and I. The bottom line is the Flamingo is good for being in the middle of the strip but I couldn't recommend this hotel based on price and my experience.

NEVER returning!!!!! The rooms were quite worn and old - we were told we could upgrade to a renovated room but there would be an upcharge. When we went to check out we had been charged an additional $68 per day when we had only supposed to have been charged that on the first day for an early check in. When we called the front desk to discuss it they indicated that we must come down to have it corrected. Of course the line at the front desk took forever and made the timing to the airport for our return home flight very tight. The worst customer service!!! We rented a cabana with a television at the pool so that we could watch the Detroit Lions football game. We were informed that the pool would be staying open until 5:00 which would have worked out perfect as the game started at 1:35p.m. However, around 3:30 the pool waiter told us that it was last call and brought us our bill, which we paid. Then at 4:00p.m. the pool staff sent security guards over to inform us that we had to leave because they had decided to close the pool early - this was right at the beginning of the final quarter of the game!! So we were left to pack up and leave without seeing the end of the football game that we had specifically reserved the cabana in order to watch. We will not ever be returning to the Flamingo or a related Ceasar resort.
