Columbus, Ohio: OSU, Acclaimed Museums, and One of the Country’s Best Zoos

In 2012, Columbus made Business Week’s list of America’s 50 best cities, thanks in part to the city’s best-known institution—Ohio State University. Though the school contributes a youthful air and helps drive urban progress, Ohio’s capital is much more than a college town. In the walkable downtown you’ll find trendy restaurants and bars as well as a groundbreaking interactive science museum, COSI, and the highly acclaimed Columbus Museum of Art. The Scioto River bisects the city, flowing past public parks and miles of walking and biking paths. A half-hour drive north will take you to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, one of the finest institutions of its kind, perhaps best known for its affiliation with director emeritus Jack Hanna.

Room was dirty, park was very poorly maintained and food at the restaurant was almost as bad as the wait staff. Waitress spoke no English and came off as being very rude.

The watermark was nice, but the hotel was not as nice. There was only one restaurant and the other was ordering from a bar. The rooms were only ok and there was lots of construction.

The group on was not a very good deal for the quality on the room. The first day you couldn't check in until after 7 and the waterpark closed at 9 and our room was gross. It felt like a room that you would spend $40.00 on a night not a resort at all.
