Beautiful Hotel We had a fantastic experience at the hotel and will definitely book again. I highly recommend it to everyone. The surroundings were beautiful everywhere you looked. My room was 604, and the bed near the balcony was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Despite going to bed at 3 AM and needing to wake up at 9 AM, I felt well-rested.

Hotel at a Glance: FUSION Resort

Nestled in the picturesque setting of Treasure Island, FUSION Resort is a refined and modern hotel that caters to travelers seeking a tranquil escape. Overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, the resort boasts a scenic location that offers direct access to the pristine white-sand beach. The guest rooms and suites are elegantly designed to provide a haven of comfort, and the property offers amenities suitable for both leisure and business travelers, including a fitness center and meeting facilities. It is an ideal choice for those seeking a tranquil and restful stay by the Gulf waters.

Treasure Island, Florida: Three Miles of White-Sand Beachfront

Treasure Island got its name after a group of enterprising hotel owners buried—and later “discovered”—a couple of fake treasure chests along the beach. In spite of their farce, the name stuck. So all right, you won’t find any buried treasure here, but surely you can console yourself with 3 miles of white sand along the Gulf of Mexico. Head to the middle of the island for extra-wide beaches lined with shops, restaurants, and bars. There’s also a walking pier that runs parallel to the shoreline between 104th and 119th Avenues.

A great way to explore Treasure Island and nearby beach communities is by taking the Suncoast Beach Trolley. It runs along the Gulf coast from St. Pete Beach to Clearwater, stopping at many popular beaches along the way. Just across the bridge, St. Petersburg’s charming waterfront downtown is also worth a visit. You’ll find art-deco buildings, broad streets lined with palm trees, and the Dali Museum, which displays many of the paintings, sculptures, and melted timepieces of surrealist master Salvador Dalí.

Nice Hotel but Not Quite a Resort We enjoyed a lovely stay at Fusion Resort Waterfront Suites in July 2025 for 6 days. My comments are a mixture of positive, negative, and hopeful aspects of the experience. Positives: The room was indeed a waterfront view from the main living space, master bedroom, and deck. Watching the sunset each evening was a plus and meals on the deck were delightful. Watch out for the birds, though, because a seagull swooped in and grabbed a sausage link from our plate. This seemed to invite other birds to survey our location for a couple of hours. The kitchen area was well stocked, and the bedrooms and the general living space were nicely furnished. We unnecessarily bought a coffee pot, so ask the front desk before you purchase something because they may have items you need in storage. Also, if you want to attach technology to the television, bring the appropriate cords for your devices. There is no beachfront at the hotel, but the beach is a little less than a half mile from the hotel and the beach parking lot is convenient. The pool and whirlpool at the hotel were very refreshing and generally not too crowded; a benefit of staying in a smaller hotel. Hotel staff were very accommodating, especially Megan, the afternoon/evening desk host, who accommodated us when we asked to change rooms upon arrival. Negatives: (1) The mattress in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable, something we complained about after the second night. No response. After the third night, we insisted upon a new mattress, as one of us sustained scars from the metal poking through the mattress. When we complained more vigorously, the hotel sent someone to check the mattress. Wonder of wonders, the mattress was upside-down on the bed, and we had been sleeping on the underside of the mattress!!! Housekeeping staff were very apologetic and corrected the problem, and the right-side-up mattress was very comfortable. (2) The housekeeping supervisor was a new hire and just getting acclimated, which meant we had to ask almost daily for additional towels and to have the kitchen trash emptied. Hopeful: I’ve been intentional about calling the facility a hotel, as it functioned more as a hotel than a resort. It has potential for becoming a resort, but the vibe is not there. I saw that they once included a water service, but the bottle was empty and calcified. There was coffee in the lobby. Music was playing in the pool area, but there were no other opportunities for entertainment. The rooftop lounge area, for example, would have been a great space for a jazz ensemble or drinks and a dance party on weekends. There are several nice seating areas on the grounds, so consider a guest host who could facilitate engagement. Also, since there is no kitchen, room service and meals were not available. Perhaps a catered meal or an evening hors d'oeuvres gathering would add the resort feel. The SIPS portion of the hotel’s signage was missing. Make this hotel a resort, please! I recommend the hotel because the prices are reasonable enough, especially for a family or group stay. But do not expect a resort.

Good stay I had a nice stay here. The room was very nice with beautiful views from the balconies in each bedroom, it was more of a low-key resort. The pool and hot tub was nice, also the 80s music playing as background music was an awesome touch. Only thing I wish was that they had a restaurant or bar on site, but the fact that we had a full kitchen in our hotel room helped. All in all, it's a good place to stay, but you could see the recent hurricanes did a number on the hotels and other businesses in the area. Luckily this resort had barely any damages and it is a good choice. I would stay here again.

Wonderful stay We stayed at the Fusion Resort Treasure Island FL May 29,2025 to June 3, 2025. Two bedroom two bath suite. The rooms look exactly like they do on the website. The staff was friendly. We had a wonderful time. If there was one change I would make it would be to add grab bars in the showers. We are an older couple.

Nightmare Stay at Fusion Resort Treasure Island - Avoid at All Costs! Nightmare Stay at Fusion Resort Treasure Island - Avoid at All Costs! My recent stay at the Fusion Resort in Treasure Island was an absolute disaster from start to finish. Despite the high price tag, the room was disgusting. The pervasive smell of mildew was nauseating, and the ripped couch was just the beginning of the decay. We will be attaching photos to this review to provide visual evidence of the unacceptable conditions. To add insult to injury after we complained about the ripped furniture, their brilliant solution was to have housekeeping simply flip the seat cushion over! To add further insult to injury, after paying a premium for this supposed resort, they refused to let me park my truck and jet ski in their lot! I was forced to leave my valuable belongings in an unsafe, abandoned parking lot, constantly worrying about theft. Their claim of a "full bar" was a blatant lie – it was closed down with no prior notification. This false advertisement was just one of many disappointments. Even the basic service was a joke. Housekeeping inexplicably only cleaned one of the beds, leaving the other untouched. And don't even think about relaxing in the "hot tub" – it was barely lukewarm. The pool wasn't any better, with disgusting wads of gum stuck to the bottom. The filth didn't stop there. On one occasion, we encountered a bloody napkin in the elevator – a truly disturbing sight. When we tried to address these serious issues, the GENERAL MANGER ABEL had the audacity to laugh at our concerns over the phone! The desk staff were equally unhelpful and dismissive. Especially Steve. Giving us a problem at 4:00 in the morning when arriving on the first day. Giving a $25 dollar ticket to a truck that was already payed for. The state of the room itself was appalling. Peeling paint hung from the master bedroom shower ceiling, and the toilet was disgustingly stained. To top it all off, the walls were haphazardly patched with mismatched paint, making the entire room feel cheap and neglected. To further highlight the chaos, we even returned to the resort at 11 PM to find police on the premises dealing with a dispute, and we weren't the only ones suffering – multiple other residents had a litany of complaints about this dreadful place. This was not a relaxing getaway; it was a stressful, disgusting, and frankly, alarming experience. The Fusion Resort Treasure Island is a prime example of false advertising, terrible service, utterly unacceptable conditions, and a complete disregard for guest comfort and safety. Do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! You'll be much better off booking literally anywhere else.
