Orlando, Florida: World-Famous Theme Parks and Cultural Surprises

Located in the center of Florida, Orlando may be forever associated with the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks—the world’s most-visited entertainment resort. Spanning roughly 30,000 acres, it encompasses four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, and the Disney Springs® Area. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. Walk across the park to sample Moroccan cuisine for lunch, or ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. Before heading back to the hotel, take in the nightly fireworks, laser, and water show. One of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is also home to Universal Orlando—which includes The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—SeaWorld, and Gatorland.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando's vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which hosts family-friendly improv shows five nights a week.

Allan is the Brazilian G.O.A.T. Allan is the greatest! I came to vacation and found my little brother, the greatest front desk person ever! This guy has a good hair, the great customer service and he smooth as butter. No better way to enjoy your stay than coming to the Grand Hotel Orlando and enjoying the complementary shuttles the beautiful pool and the delicious breakfast in the morning. This hotel is underrated and is one of the greatest that I’ve ever stayed and my little brother Allan is a big reason why! I’ll be back go see my guy Allan!

would not stay here again The pool was dirty and they never restocked the pool towels for the 4 day duration we were there. the room was not clean. we found a clump of hair in bathroom floor next to toilet. the floor was not vacuumed because i found a clump of hair in bed sheets and i assume that was from my kids socks from walking on the floor and climbing into bed. they left us a used tissue box where someone had stuffed the tissues in and was mostly empty. we brought this to their attention and they gave us a new one. the toilet roll looked used also. it was so damp it was stuck together. they have a water filter in the gym and the light was red. i asked them if they can change the filter, they said yes and never did. the night stands were all rusty. they also gave us the wrong info for the shuttle so we missed the free shuttle to disney and had to catch uber ourselves.

Five star accommodations at a great price My recent stay at this hotel was, on the whole, exceptionally pleasant, earning a solid 95% from me, and I'll absolutely be returning. The absolute standout feature was the beds. Seriously, the bedding was prepared to a standard I've rarely seen, even in five-star establishments. It was perfectly made, incredibly comfortable, and truly contributed to a restful night's sleep. It's clear they put a lot of care into the room presentation and comfort. However, there were a couple of areas that could use improvement. The breakfast buffet was cold, which was a bit disappointing. While the selection seemed good, the temperature really detracted from the experience. Additionally, the check-in process was longer than it should have been and felt quite unorganized. A smoother, more efficient system at the front desk would greatly enhance the initial guest experience. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall comfort and quality, especially of the room and bedding, more than made up for it. I highly recommend this hotel, and I look forward to staying there again!
