Orlando, Florida: World-Famous Theme Parks and Cultural Surprises

Located in the center of Florida, Orlando may be forever associated with the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks—the world’s most-visited entertainment resort. Spanning roughly 30,000 acres, it encompasses four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, and the Disney Springs® Area. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. Walk across the park to sample Moroccan cuisine for lunch, or ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. Before heading back to the hotel, take in the nightly fireworks, laser, and water show. One of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is also home to Universal Orlando—which includes The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—SeaWorld, and Gatorland.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando's vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which hosts family-friendly improv shows five nights a week.

The worst experience The worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. Extremely dirty, with a poor setup. The rooms had an unbearable musty smell—I could hardly sleep the entire night. I had to clean the rooms myself. My friends, who had two more rooms, also had their worst experiences. Dirty bathrooms, hair on the sheets, a clogged sink, and even a rotten towel inside the minibar. I absolutely do not recommend it.

Worst in all aspects Worst in all aspects. Someone wrote that they offer free parking which is not true, they charge you separately for parking. They don’t clean your room even after 3 days and that too only if you are persistent in your follow ups. Poor quality breakfast and very rude staff. Worms and Mites in your room and bed. They don’t have enough manpower. You should book this hotel only if you want to ruin your vacation.

Very disappointing stay Well where to start! On arrival we were hit with a service charge we had not been told about, $20 per room per night for the 'free' shuttle service, wifi, pool, gym and breakfast! House keeping, well when they turned up straightened the bed sheets but didnt change them our entire stay of 10 nights. 1 of our rooms they only did 1 bed and wouldnt touch the other one but would never explain why!! Speaking to the front desk yielded nothing, they were dissmissive and rude or very polite and apolpgetic and promised to sort it out but nothing ever happened. I requested to speak with the manager several times but he was never available!! Rooms are poorly maintained, damp in places. Cracks in the walls, no tea/coffee facilities and a notice to say no food allowed in the rooms. Glorified motel in appearance to be honest. Holes in the floor of the swimming pool, constantly standing or kicking lumps of concrete from the bottom. Never any clean towels by the pool either. Breakfast was always the same with no variety, only 1 cereal choice the whole stay. No provision for allergies or dietary preferances. 'Free' shuttle was helpful although a 6pm pick up is a bit early when theme parks open till 9pm, private transfers back to hotel were quite expensive. Grounds well maintained around the hotel except by the side walk, kerbs overgrown and no pedestrian access to hotel you have to enter through the car park which is difficult when traffic busy. I would not book this hotel again.
