Well Conceived and Delightful: What a delight to find this small, well conceived, original, and great place to stay. This small boutique hotel had everything we could hope for in a comfortable, well designed and original hotel. We reached Big Sky on a wet and cold day and a prediction of overnight snow. The staff were welcoming and delightful. Our room was large with comfortable furniture. The design of the room and decor were very inviting with large prints of local scenery and furnishings that fit the ski and outdoor resort nature of the hotel. They had a taco bar with delicious food. In the morning the espresso coffee drinks, smoothies, and breakfast burritos were scrumptious. The sauna, hot tub, and well designed and equipped workout room were perfectly thought out for folks to utilize. We would go back in a heartbeat. How great to find a high quality hotel that is not a cookie cutter copy of most hotels.

Discover Big Sky

Big Sky is a legendary alpine destination defined by the towering presence of Lone Peak and over 5,800 acres of world-class skiable terrain. Known for having "the Biggest Skiing in America," the area is a four-season playground where winter’s deep powder gives way to summer’s premier mountain biking, fly fishing on the Gallatin River, and elite hiking trails like Beehive Basin. Despite its international reputation, Big Sky maintains a rugged, unpretentious spirit that honors its Montana roots.

The community is split into two primary hubs: the high-altitude Mountain Village, which offers immediate access to the lifts and resort amenities, and the vibrant Town Center, located just seven miles down the road. The Town Center acts as the area's social heartbeat, filled with local boutiques, art galleries, and seasonal events like the famous Farmers Market and outdoor concerts. With Yellowstone National Park just a short drive south, Big Sky is not just a destination, but a gateway to the most iconic wilderness in the American West.

Friendly and comfortable and clean with very good service Friendly, convenient Norwegian style hotel. Booked a king room here at that last minute. Spacious room, very clean and comfortable. 100% cotton ironed sheets and thick cotton towels from Parachute. Lighting not great for readers but otherwise a solid choice. Delicious tacos and chips and salsa at the bar. Would recommend this establishment.

Unique & Comfortable Stay Simple Norwegian style hotel with a lot of extras to make you feel special. Upon entering the beautiful lobby, we immediately saw there were several spots where we could sit and gather to enjoy games, a beverage, food, or even the outdoor patio. There were a number of games available for indoor and indoor use. Our room was well appointed, again with Norwegian style. Plenty of room, comfortable beds, two chairs to even sit and visit in the room, a coffee bar with some snacks (extra charge), large closet, large, beautiful bathroom with a soaking tub and fluffy linens. There were even robes we could use for our stay. The gym is absolutely beautiful. We weren’t sure if the cold splash or outdoor hot tub were available to non-club guests. There were massage chairs and basically every type of equipment you’d expect at a full scale gym. The restaurant is conveniently located so you can access a number of restaurants, coffee, shops, and even a local deli. During our stay, we were greeted a number of times by hotel employees and asked if there was anything they could do to make our stay nicer, even asking to help carry in our bags. We had a quiet space and slept really well, which is a big statement from someone such as myself who is a very light sleeper. The only items worth noting that were a little inconsistent with the overall quality of the stay were creaky floors in the hallways and a key lock to the room that did not function without getting the code to use the keypad. Very minor matters.

Not Good This review is strictly for the taco bar. We were extremely disappointed with the food. The guacamole and chips were terrible. The chips were given to us in a paper bag and were crumbled. The guacamole must have been made days before and is prepackaged. The burrito bowl with chicken had very little chicken and very little flavor. The burrito with chicken was the same. Small amount of chicken pieces and not very flavorful. Do not plan on returning.
