Location is great but not a luxury hotel The location is excellent. Literally a two minute walk down path to the base area. We also found the staff to be very friendly -- shout out to the bartender (I believe his name was JP?) in White Rabbit. Check in was pretty seamless. We echo some of the other reviewer comments. We were only staying for one night and paid a pretty reasonable rate. I would be bothered by paying high season rates for what you got in the room. While the renovation is cute, it felt a little slapdash and budget. The TV had basic - I mean basic - cable only and felt like it was from the 90s. The bed linens felt like a budget hotel. There was what felt like a pretty big depression in the floor. It feels like they took a pretty tired vintage hotel and slapped some cosmetic changes. We appreciated the noise machine and didn't have the issue that the room was loud that some others noted. Rooms are small. There was a fridge, which is nice. Again, not a problem for us for what we were there for and we weren't expecting a luxury hotel -- but nevertheless, could see irritation at paying a luxury price point.

Mountain retreat Hotel was outdated and needed a little sprucing up. The bed/ bed sheets were probably the worst I’ve been on. Not very comfortable at all. Staff was pleasant and location of hotel was perfect.

A tired hotel that is way overpriced In retrospect, we should have read reviews before booking this. Agree that the room was very basic and dated and small, and the noise from the people in the room next to us was as if they were in our room. We booked a room with a balcony, but were put in a basement room with no balcony. The restaurant is awful. And so overpriced-- a plate of eggs with toast and potatoes $30-- overcooked and dry. Dinner was equally dreadful.

1* Motel with 4* marketing We were considering membership so wanted to check the place out. We were shocked by the poor quality of the property and terrible condition of the rooms. This is a 1* motel with 4* marketing. The room was falling apart, very tired with the most ancient and ludicrously noisy air unit. We could hear everything our neighbors said and they were not speaking loudly. There’s no sound proofing at all. Though the location is great- we were kept awake most of the night by hotel noise and up with the larks the beeping grooming machines which park nearby. I’m surprised to see so many positive reviews. I definitely wouldn’t return.

I'm not a gambler If the third time is the charm, I am not sure if I can suffer another stay to find out. After a two-year break, we thought we would give Gravity Haus another try since the location was so great. Here’s the good, the bad, and the ugly. We had to laugh when they gave us one drink token when we checked in. We said that there were two of us but they said they only give out one per reservation. At $750 per night, that’s the freebie? One free cup of coffee is not that big of a freebie. Whatever. The staff are generally nice. They are just young and inexperienced - not trained in hospitality which is not their fault. Rooms are short on space. A room with two queen beds has enough space for two people but any more people than that and you’d have stuff all over the floors. No luggage rack so we are spread out. Not enough hangers for two of us to stay four nights. At times the hallways and lobby were like walking through a teenage boy’s bedroom - so many things to step over and around. No desks or tables in the rooms so the lobby area is usually pretty full of people on their laptops or playing games or just hanging out. It took all day for our room to be cleaned by 4:30 pm, and that was after we reminded them at 3 pm. Not enough housekeepers but they should just be transparent about it and let the guests know. This was after our 2nd night. I left a $5 tip for the housekeeper because I knew she was busy but when I came back to see that she hadn’t swapped out the dirty coffee mugs but left extra coffee, I had to do a little eye roll. You can smell marijuana drifting in the hallways and into your room at all hours of the day. Even at 3:30 am when I woke up after hearing some noises. Shouldn’t my neighbors call it a night and go to sleep? Customer service training wouldn’t hurt. When we went up to the breakfast area, there was a sign to wait to be seated. We stood there for 10 minutes while three employees looked at us and walked around. We finally asked the barista if we were supposed to order and then sit down and she told us the restaurant wasn’t even open. Why didn’t someone ask us if we needed help? I talked to someone later in the day, and they had previously had the same experience on an entirely different visit. Dogs. Lots of dogs. Most were well-behaved. Did not really like stepping around the pee and poop residue marks around the property. Wish they had a designated relief area. Check all USB-C ports. Don’t plug in and go to sleep because you may get one (or two) that don’t work. It would take a super cheap price for me to stay here again.
