Another Great Wolf Lodge Off The Bucket List ,( 20 Left ) New opening GFL in Ct. 2 hr drive from Westchester county , must try since I already been to the ones in Poconos & Perryville. I like Perryville because all the activities are in 3 different buildings. Poconos & Mashantucket are in one building, less walking for parents & grandparents. All GFL have the same meals/ choices: Dunkin’ Donuts, pizza , ice cream parlor , and a restaurant. The room are all designed to give you the rugged feel of camping & living the wilderness. Mashantucket might have changed their menu because I was pleased with their double Patties burger, wings & fries , very delicious and prepared well; wasn’t dry or over cooked. Very juicy!. All the staff are eager to help and provide assistance. GFL accepts Groupons & have sales on their app. Take advantage of them. The arcade cards and ministry wand from other GFL locations are comparable with any locations you attend to. They will transfer the devices into their system. This locations has a racer ride slope down the tube, which I didn’t see at other locations. The outside jacuzzi and pool is big but this location is abit smaller than the rest. If there’s a holiday / half day/ extended weekends I will come here for a quick get away. Foxwood & GFL partnered up. When the kids are in bed just walk across the street for more fun for all ages, gamble here there, bingo, attend a show, Go -Kart racing, more arcades , go shopping Eat at up scale restaurants. If you count your steps daily , you will accumulate 20k with no problems at Foxwood, it’s a huge track & field scenery. Til next time!

THIS IS YOUR WARNING!!! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!! We get to our room and I find blood on the bathroom floor (see pic) dried piss on the bathtub (see pic) unwashed washcloths (see pic) stained sheets (see pic) and the battery to the thermostat was dead, we called to get the battery replaced and we thought it was since the ac was working only to wake up the last day to the battery being dead after a day and a half, we had a room that could hold up to five people and didn’t have a dresser or drawers to put our stuff in, they also didn’t have a safe and no microwave in the room, the had 1 microwave at the end of the hall near the ice machines and if you needed to warm something up you better expect to wait a in a line to do so, we paid extra for late checkout (2pm) and they locked us out at regular checkout time (11am) thank god we read reviews on the last day of being there because we packed up and loaded up the car early just incase we were locked out from our belongings, the cops would’ve been carrying me out of that place had that happen, and on top of all of this they charge you $25 a day for parking we stayed for 2 days and was charged for 3 days so $75 to park even though we rented a room for 2 days, awesome__ I’ve been to great wolf lodge in Fitchburg,MA and that one is excellent I wish we would’ve just stuck with that one but we figured this location being new and near Foxwoods would be bigger and better but we were deceived.

Great Trip!!! Recently visited (8/8 - 8/10) with 3 teenagers and friends. Great Wolf Concierge texted me prior to my stay and throughout the visit. I was able to ask questions and received immediate responses. I did my research beforehand and decided to park in the onsite lot for $25/night (well worth it to me!). Arrived around 2:30pm, parked, checked in with self-check in kiosk (took 10 mins if that - no line or wait for kiosks and there was an employee there for anyone that needed help), then went to the customer counter (waited in line for about 20 mins) for Wolf Passes. Room was immediately ready (Grizzly Bear Suite) This suite was spacious with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living area. No microwave but there was a coffee maker and fridge in the room. I'm not sure why people complain about the pool towels and being charged $15/towel if you don't return it. Unfortunately we live in a day & age where people will take the towels home with them. It was no problem to grab the towels when entering the park and returning them at our leisure. We experience no foul smell in the hallways as others have mentioned. We ate at the Fireside restaurant which we found the prices to be comparable to other restaurants offsite. Food was awesome, highly recommend the Chicken Fetticine Alfredo! Bar tender at Fireside, Jen was attentive and eager to please and provided great service! We also ate from the fast food places onsite. Pizza, burgers and chicken tenders were all good and service was good. Dunkin Donuts line will get long after 8am but there are 3 ordering kiosks (you can't use mobile app) and we found the service to be quick and efficient. We never had a chance to try the buffet. All employees from the cleaning staff, front desk, restaurant staff and pool staff were friendly with smiles and saying hello as we passed by. Kids had a great time! Pools can become crowded and if we had one recommendation it would be for Great Wolf to consider an adults only pool in the future (for us adults with teenagers that don't want to swim with 300 young kids). Foxwoods is a short walk across the parking lot. We didn't get a chance to venture over to Foxwoods but it's close should you feel the need to go. There is a shuttle that runs from GW to the Tanger Outlets. Great trip had by all. Thank you Great Wolf!

Go to the Caribbean instead This place is such a rip off. SO overpriced. What it cost me for 2 days here I could have went to an all inclusive resort in the carribean. Insane! Horrible food, you can hear conversations in the rooms next door, no sound proofing, my eyes burned after 5 min sitting in the indoor water park area from all the chlorine you guys use because all these kids def piss in the water, and you make towels be checked in and out or you're charged $15. No resort has EVER made towels be electronically checked out and in. We take them back to our rooms and the house keeping's gets them. Or there's a bin we can put them in. Insane. All the hallways smelled like sweaty gym socks and I had to plug my nose when walking through them. I paid for the top wolf pass to include free things but the "free" wand was just half the wand, had to pay $25 for the topper to use the wand. $5 to the arcade included with pass....only got them 2 cheap arcade game plays!! A game is 10 credits minimum and $5 was only worth 20 credits. And trading tickets in for prizes? One candy was worth 10 tickets. Some plastic rings and plastic toy soldiers were 25, the rest were hundreds or thousands of tickets lol. Nothing was affordable here. They rip you off. You have to order your drink, wait forever just to get your cup that you then have to go to a self serve and scan the QR code on your cup in order for the self serve machine to work, and you then are timed 20 seconds for filling your cup or you're SOL lol. Every hour I discovered something that made me say "wtf, is this for real? I'm never coming here again". I had pre paid for dining credits and they don't refund you unused credits, so out of my $200 I only used $60. We went and ate at the casino restaurants because the food sucked at great wolf. The 2 days cost me over 1k for 2 adults and 2 kids when only the kids are using the priced amenities. Never will I ever do this again.

All in all an amazing time, wish someone came to fix bowling though This was our first GWL experience. We booked an over night stay, kids got Wolf Passes. Pulled up to the front of the building and the attendant was very nice and helpful, explaining to us where to park and how to go about loading our stuff in etc. Check in took about 45 minutes (using the front desk not the kiosk) which on a Friday was to be expected but luckily our room was ready early (1:30pm) so it was nice being able to unload our things in our room and get right to it. The room was great, clean, kids loved the cabin themed room. Overall, all the activities, especially the water park were amazing. Only on Saturday that it of course was a bit busier and certain sizes life jackets were hard to come by (will bring our own next time) and one certain slide line had a bit of a wait to it (10-15min) but over all not bad at all. The only real downside and reason I’m not giving it a 5 star is because we were bowling and after a few rounds the pins wouldn’t reset and the screen said there was a technician coming but from looking at another lane that had the same issue the whole time we were there, we waited a few minutes but concluded someone probably wasn’t coming so we went and did mini golf instead (which was great). We will definitely be back for a longer stay soon.
