They have no staff to help with bags, and a horrible check-in, w/nonexistent concierge Stayed two nights at Great Wolf and just got back. Check-in was a zoo. We were hoping they may have our room available a little before four o'clock since we arrived around 2:30 PM and checked in at the kiosk. However, it was not only unavailable before 4:00, but we waited until 4:45 PM before receiving the text that we could go to our room. We walked in and housekeeping was just leaving then. I find it remarkable that for a place offering to charge families more to stay later, without the availability to accommodate your guests who already have reservations and not get them into their room at time promised (clearly it said on their app, YOUR SUITE WILL BE READY AT 4:00 PM. IF IT IS AVAILABLE SOONER, WE WILL TEXT YOU. Well, we stood on their LONG line twice - because the first check-in at kiosk didn't give us the 'Wolf Pass" our child needed so we had to stand on regular line anyway in order to get that (defeats purpose of the check yourself in kiosks ,right?). Okay, so that's that... then the room - NOT ONE DRAWER IN THE ENTIRE ROOM. The closest to any drawer anywhere would have to be .... the mini fridge?! Why would you put families with kids into a room without a single drawer to put their clothes, or things to store by the bed, etc. I couldn't get over that - it's my first hotel room (and I have traveled a LOT) where there are zero drawers. That means clothes all over the floor, things falling off the night table, and basically clutter in about an hour or so after you try to unpack then realize there's no place to put anything! Also, the lighting in the room was not good at all. it's pitch black at night without a night light to speak of and the wolf den space with the bunk bed is especially difficult to navigate in the middle of the night. I guess we should have packed a night light! I usually do but assumed a family hotel geared toward small children under 12, they would have thought through some of that. I am not a fan - if it weren't for Foxwoods being across the parking lot, I can't imagine the huge draw here. To be fair, our daughter was a little older than some of the kids (most are toddlers through maybe age 8 on average). Some of the things wouldn't really appeal to her. The lobby in the place is light walking in a daycare facility - not kidding. They use that space connected to Fireside restaurant, actually, and blast music, do everything loud you can imagine with about fifty crying, yelling, laughing, screaming and running kids everywhere that even if adults wish to escape for a little time to get a cocktail and have a nice dinner, well, they can look elsewhere. The noise never stops. I will not be returning. Ever. lol

Don’t depend on getting the room you booked !,, Don’t depend on keeping the room you book ahead as they overbook. We were emailed two days before our reservation for a Deluxe Grizzly bear suite for our family of 14.,that room is no longer available. We were then down graded to a Deluxe wolf Den suite that only holds max 12. I attempted to reply to the email that was sent which is what I was instructed to respond if there were questions yet it kept coming back undelivered. I then sent a direct reply to the guest service supervisor as her direct email worked. I then contact the main reservation number which is your only option as you cannot contact the resort directly unless the reservation person puts you through. I explained the situation to reservation rep who was only able to give us a family suite that holds the additional 2,across from the wolf suite at no additional cost which is the least they could do since there were not enough beds. I requested for my trouble they could at least waive the nightly parking fee of $25 per vehicle ( we had 4 for 2 nights). I was told they could not do that. They have no service recovery in place for situation’s like this. We paid the same rate no adjustment to our rate this is poor at best. I did receive a response from the supervisor next day, now one day before just reconfirming what I had already spent 90 minutes getting straight. All she could offer is an “l am sorry for this”. NEVER AGAIN AT ANY GREAT WOLF.

AVOID THIS LOCATION Absolutely horrible! Waited 45 minutes just to check in. While in the check in line, kids are running in between guests (I understand it’s family oriented) but parents need to be mindful, couldn’t get up to our room until well after 4pm, the bathroom in our room had a very pungent & unpleasant odor, the walls are extremely thin and you can hear everyone’s conversation as they’re passing by. The indoor section of the water park was dirty and the outdoor pool was overly crowded. It’s so crowded you can’t enjoy yourself. If you forget to return your towel, you are charged $15. Food options are limited and similar to gas station food. I tried to talk to guest services multiple times and got one word answers. I would avoid this location at all costs. Also they charge $25 for parking which is ridiculous considering how much you’re going to spend inside. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Nice but...BED BUGS We loved our stay until my daughter woke up with bed bug bites. We told the front desk and made an incident report and no one got back to us. poor customer service. They said they needed to check the room to confirm but no one has reached out. It is not worth infesting your home with these bugs.

What a mess! We spent one night at the CT location for our daughter's birthday. While our daughter enjoyed herself, it was truly one of the most frustrating travel experiences we've ever had. Customer service and communication does not appear to be a priority amongst their staff. To start, when you pull up to unload, there are 3 lanes and its utter chaos. If there even is a staff member outside, they don't go out of their way to give any direction. The check in process was ok for me, but I have read horror stories in other reviews. The water park was OK. There was one instance where when it was our turn to go down the water slide, we stood there for a solid fifteen minutes twiddling our thumbs. The machine that sends the water tubes back up was malfunctioning, but apparently the staff member running things couldn't be bothered to tell us that during one of the many times she walked by and looked at us. The last straw for us was when we went to gather our belongings and check out. We had paid for late check out (2:00 PM instead of 11:00 AM). When we went back to our room at 12:30, we were locked out with our belongings still in it. My husband went down to the front desk to address the issue, and they tried to tell him that he had to wait in the check in line, which was about 50 people deep at this point. They also told him that we should've told them at check in that we paid for late check out - even though we had included this add on when we booked the stay. To add to the aggravation, the new bracelet they gave him was for a room that wasn't even ours! We find this to be very concerning - imagine if the bracelet to unlock your hotel door got into the hands of the wrong person. While my husband was downstairs, I spent 24 minutes on the phone trying to reach someone in customer service, to no avail. Another guest down the hall was also locked out of her room at the same time, despite having late check out. I hope the other Great Wolf Lodge locations are managed better than this one!
