I’m used to outdoor water parks in CA, so this was different. It was LOUD in the water part, but my kids had a blast. We had an incident with other guests (drunk & trashy), but the hotel management handled it wonderfully. I was so upset the night of the incident, but hotel mgmt & security went out of their way to make the rest of our stay wonderful. This is how you do customer service!

Don't Go Here! They ruined my son's birthday. This is the worst vacation (and even just hotel) experience we have ever had. We booked a stay at the Perryville location over a month in advance for our son's birthday. All he wanted for his birthday this year was this trip. No parties, no friends, just the water park. We arrived at 7 pm for check-in to be greeted with complete chaos. The lobby was filled with backed-up lines and 10s of displaced families. Before arriving I tried to check-in via the app but got some ambiguous errors. I waited for 20 minutes to get to a kiosk only to see more errors. Next I waited one and half hours to see a concierge to check-in. After completing my check-in I was told that even at 9 pm my room still wasn't even ready. The lobby was so packed that my son ended up eating his birthday dinner in the back of my SUV. There were literally small children sleeping on their luggage in the lobby. At 10:30 I waited another 30 minutes in line to cancel my reservation and drive my son home. We have previously stayed at the Poconos location and really enjoyed the property, but after this experience I will never stay at another Great Wolf Lodge property ever again. The management at this location are clearly inept and should be ashamed of how they handled everything. These are reservations taken in advance and there is no reason that so many families were left without rooms so late at night. The lobby was still packed when I left.

Not the 1st time experience we were looking for I will never go back. We went because my kids have been wanting to experience great wolf lodge. The water park was fun. However, we encountered bed bugs at 9:45 @ night. We were given a different room and were told they would heat treat our items. While we were getting ready to move rooms, someone else claimed they had bed bugs as well. Found out they were 2 rooms down from our new room. We decided right away we wanted to go home. The staff did make it right. They upgraded our passes to silver, gave a credit for my girls to get something from the gift shop to wear since their clothes were compromised, food vouchers because we had issues the next day, and refunded our stay. As nice as everything was, we are to traumatized to go back.

It’s Magical! This place is magical. It’s a great family get-away. Kids can be kids here. This is my 2nd time at a GWL and both times my family have truly enjoyed it. Considering the number of people here, it’s clean and well maintained. Of course, you’ll see spills and things that need attention but if you tell them, they clean it up right away. You just have to let them know. This is one of those places that younger kids hate to leave. I bought 2 teenage girls and I had to give them a time to leave in advance. I would have given them 5 stars but the food is mediocre. Theres plenty of food options. All pricey. Guess you can’t have everything. If you haven’t been and you have kids, it’s worth a night. Try not to come in the middle of the summer. I can see where that would be challenging.
