I’m used to outdoor water parks in CA, so this was different. It was LOUD in the water part, but my kids had a blast. We had an incident with other guests (drunk & trashy), but the hotel management handled it wonderfully. I was so upset the night of the incident, but hotel mgmt & security went out of their way to make the rest of our stay wonderful. This is how you do customer service!

It’s Magical! This place is magical. It’s a great family get-away. Kids can be kids here. This is my 2nd time at a GWL and both times my family have truly enjoyed it. Considering the number of people here, it’s clean and well maintained. Of course, you’ll see spills and things that need attention but if you tell them, they clean it up right away. You just have to let them know. This is one of those places that younger kids hate to leave. I bought 2 teenage girls and I had to give them a time to leave in advance. I would have given them 5 stars but the food is mediocre. Theres plenty of food options. All pricey. Guess you can’t have everything. If you haven’t been and you have kids, it’s worth a night. Try not to come in the middle of the summer. I can see where that would be challenging.

Bad experience We recently spent time at great wolf lodge and this was our second visit at the perryville location in Maryland. Well, we arrived the first day to be greeted with a boy around 6 yrs old urinating on the lawn of the property. The child had his shorts pulled down to his ankles and was spraying urine all over the lawn by the front entrance. He was laughing and did not care about the people watching him. A lady I believe to be his mother was on her phone telling someone she was waiting for and called out the child’s name to finish peeing. The mother talked with an African accent with broken English. I commented that there are restrooms inside the building but I was completely ignored. I shared this with great wolf lodge staff and they didn’t seem very concerned at all. Checking in I was told there is a $19 a day parking fee. I was very upset because we never had to pay for parking. The front desk clerk said, it started last year and the reason is because families were bringing multiple cars and taking a lot of space. This didn’t make any sense because the guest still paid to use the party! It’s just another way to double dip and rip poor families off! The next morning during my stay, my family and I was woken up early in the morning to frightening banging on our door. I pulled myself together to check the key hole to only see nothing but heard children laughing and thumping/running down the hallway. I called the front desk and they said, security will be up to check it but it went on for over an hour or more with children banging on room doors running and laughing. I called the desk and explained I was not having a good stay! They didn’t seem very offer a $50 credit on my bill and it was much appreciated. The pools and game areas were overcrowded and this was on a Sunday! It was comfortable at all and a lot of the staff wasn’t friendly and kept the most unpleasant look on their faces. We didn’t fully enjoy our stay it just wasn’t the best and we won’t be going back.

Great place for kids, 3 to 10, but leaves a lot to be desired. This location was very easy to locate. It has great appeal for children, ten and under I would say. The shared activities were very appealing to the children, but can be extremely crowded, especially on weekends. They seem to do a significant amount of day only admissions. They save a lot of money because rooms are not cleaned daily, but on your own you can swap your dirty linens, towels for fresh ones. The machine in the pool area bathroom entry works well to wring out your bathing suits, so they will dry faster. They have limited food service. It is expensive and not very tasty or appealing. A burger w/fries for a child is $12.99. That is excessive. Biggest safety risk I believe, is (at least ours) that the bathtub has no hand rails whatsoever, nor bathtub strips to prevent slip and falls. I would imagine that is an incredible insurance exposure. They have one gift shop (all I saw) and it carries expensive clothing, overpriced toys, a few odds and ends. We had issues with ants in our room. Called front desk about it, they tried to fix it, but next day they were back again, even though we dumped our trash daily. Quality of bed linens was poor. Worst issue was the hallway outside our room absoutely reeked. I googled info on this location and apparently they had a water break in the walls in 2024 and it flooded the surrounding areas. They should have totally removed the walls and flooring and replaced it, in my opinion. The odor was if it was flooded daily.
